Penny is 3 Months!

Theses first 12 hours of 2015 are shaping up to be wonderful! The first three months of Pennys life have been amazing. I am completley head over heals in love with this precious baby girl. I cannot believe it was already three months ago that we got to meet her.The first 8 weeks with Penny were exhausting. She liked to party throughout the night and into the wee hours of the morning, but at 8 weeks, she seemed to get that sorted out and since has been sleeping by 11pm (ish) and usually until between 4am and 6am then a quick feed and back to sleep for a few more hours. It has been really nice!
4 days ago we put Penny in her crib in her room for the first time. She has been sleeping in there great and her sleep patterns haven't really changed at all which is nice. I however, have been sleeping with "one eye open" you could say... listening to every breath she takes in the monitor AND listening to make sure the boys don't sneak downstairs together and eat all the cookies and fruit snacks in the cupboards (which has seriously been a problem these days with those two little boys).. so needless to say.. I am still exhausted.
But beyond all of the bags under my eyes, my pale skin and my INSANE forgetful "Mommy Brain" I am still savouring the moment. I absolutely LOVE the newborn stage. Minus the zero sleeping of course. I love that they need you for everything. I love nursing and cuddling.
I love her little baby feet and I kiss them more than I could even count.
I love her sweet little smiles, they are oh so genuine. I love lying beside her and taking in every single moment I have with her. She is so lovely.
I love the sweet looks she gives her Daddy over my shoulder. Her expressions are to die for!
I adore her little baby chub and how she still seems tiny to me.
I love staring at her long beautiful eyelashes as she sleeps so soundly.
And yes, the inevitable.. she is really fun to dress. Even with rediculously huge headbands and simple white onesies. She can pull anything off and make it look absolutely adorable!
I cannot believe how much they change and grow in three short months. She really is getting her own beautiful personality and is SUCH a HAPPY baby!! If you look at her and tell her she is pretty.. she will almost ALWAYS smile! Oh my gosh it melts my heart.
So, to my sweet darling Penny girl. Mommy loves you so much. I have loved every moment of these past three months with you. I cannot wait to see what the future holds but I really wish I could freeze time and that you would stay as this precious little infant for so much longer. I love being your mother. I will always be here for you, protect you and cherish every moment we have together. I love you baby girl. You mean everything to our family.
