Christmas Eve EVE
I love sewing. Its relaxing for me. The boys have been having a fun couple of days too.. starting off with finding our Kleenex boxes in our storage room and having a "HOORAY" party (as Carter explained it) in the basement. He said when he would open the side of the Kleenex box and throw it in the air, it would "explode" into a "Hooray Party" lol I didn't get mad because let's be honest... the hour of peace and quiet "alone time" was worth the disaster!
On Saturday we got together with our siblings and Brian's parents and went swimming! It was Penny's first time swimming. She did better than I expected! She lasted about 30 minutes but then cried... and cried and cried. So her and I left early and got dressed and just watched the rest of the time. Penny did look totally adorable in her swimsuit though! What a little sweetie!
After swimming, we went to Lena and Jarren's house for a snack, a movie and just to hang out with the family. It was great, Im so lucky to have been blessed with the worlds greatest in-laws!
Sunday was Brians' Dad's work Christmas party that we get invited to each year.
And yesterday the kids and I stayed in and made some Cookies for Santa! We got all set up...
And i knew that this would be a disaster... but the disater was actually unreal. Thousands of sprinkles... all over the floor. The kids had fun for about 5 minutes, then I had to finish the rest of the cookies and as for Penny... she thought making cookies for Santa is boring lol
We saved a couple cookies for Santa and put some on two separate plates and delivered them to our neighbours.
I cannot wait for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. I cannot wait to see the kids faces on Christmas morning when they open up their gifts and see the special basement surprise Brian and I got them. It will be so fun. Carter is at such a fun age for Christmas right now.
I love that this is Penny's first Christams. How special. Carter is excited about this too.. everyday thanks me for getting Penny out of my tummy and tells me how cute and beautiful she is. They have such a special little relationship. If he even looks at her, she will smile. She loves him just as much as he loves her. Its adorable!!
As for Bentley, he really loves "Snuggling" her.. or just using her as a pillow when he is watching his show lol
