Penny's Blessing Day

Sunday November 9th was cold. It snowed over night and everything was white. Completely pure looking. It was beautiful. It was also Penny's Baby Blessing Day, and it was perfect. Penny had a "bad" night. She was up every 2 hours and the only thing that would calm her down was nursing, so we were up quite a bit throughout the night, but nothing could ruin this perfect special day for our little girl. Even if she was exhausted.



I have been anticipating this special day for a while now. I was excited to share something so special with Penny. Penny was going to be blessed in the same dress that I was Christened in.



Everything was ready to go and she looked beautiful.











We had invited only our parents over at noon to take a few pictures before heading out to the church. The boys were excited to see her in her little blessing dress and put on their new ties for this special day and all three of them looked Oh so CUTE! They are all so precious to us.





Penny was a wonderful little girl the entire day. Its hard to believe that Brian was going to be blessing our third little baby. It really doesn't seem like that long ago we were only dating and talking about what our future would hold, how many kids we would have and all the fun adventure in between. Time has gone by so fast.



I love this man. I love that he has been able to bless all three of our children. He is my everything.





I am so proud to call Penny my daughter. She is beautiful and simply lovely and she is all ours. We are so very lucky.



I love that she was wearing this special little dress, and of course we had to somewhat recreate a picture of me in it with my mom. The only difference, is that I was 3 months old wearing it.

And for fun, here is Brian on his Blessing Day! September 6, 1987. Oh my heck, his hair kills me!!! We are so lucky to live close to both of our parents, and I am so glad my children will get to grow up close to their grandparents, it is wonderful and we were so happy that they could share this special day with us.













Our Grandma Reed was able to make it too and bless her heart because she is so unbelievably special to us and our children.





Penny was blessed by Brian at 1pm surrounded by family. It was a beautiful blessing and the spirit was calm and sweet. My favourite part was when Brian said how much her big brothers adore her... it is so true, they truly do.

After church, we went over to Brian's parents house for a lovely dinner. It was nice this time not to host anything after the blessing.. I was really able to just enjoy the simpleness of the day and take it all in. By the end of the day, we were all tired. It really was a wonderful, beautiful day.



That was a day I will never forget and cherish forever. I love you so much my darling Penny, you mean everything to me.
