A quick 36 Week Update.

Tomorrow I am the glorious 37 weeks! AKA: FULL TERM! I have been waiting for this day for well... the past 37 weeks really. But I need to rewind the last week and write it down because it has been really weird!

Last Thursday I had my baby doctor appointment. I am now 167 lbs (Eek! Thats hard to write down.. but its the number AFTER the baby and how I am feeling AFTER baby that really matters right.... :S ) Anyways. I have been feeling extremely uncomfortable! My doctor checked me and I was PRAYING.. literally praying that my body was changing and doing something to give me some confidence that I would eventually and hopefully sooner than later meet this little girl! Yah.. that didn't happen.

I was 1cm and long but she did say that baby's head didn't feel too big (how is that even possible to tell at 1cm... Im kinda a skeptic I think). I went home feeling like I would be 42 weeks before having this baby.

Then, on Sunday i started having contractions from 8am to 8pm... they were lasting around a minute.. sometimes a little more and were pretty sparatic.... 7 minutes, 5 minutes, 12 minutes, 10 minutes and the odd one 20 minutes. Really all over the place. I took it easy and took a hot bath in the evening. They stopped. Monday morning I woke up and yet again at 8am .... here we go again. They didn't feel as strong though and really really all over the place so I didn't even time them. Just tried to go on with my day. Just before 6pm on Monday I was SO SO uncomfortable. I threw up ALL my dinner and was so super nauseous. The contractions felt much stronger and more frequent. So my mom came over to help me with the boys and as soon as Brian got home from work we went to Rockyview to get checked.

Note: All the doctors are worried about me having the baby way too fast and not making it to the hospital because of our last birth story with Bentley so they've told us to be extra cautious. We got there.. checked in and were monitored for 30ish minutes. The nurse was commenting saying this could be the "real thing".. my contractions were 5 minutes apart and "quite strong" she said. I was hopeful that after two days of contractions my body would have been changing ... yah.. I was wrong. The doctor on call checked me and said I was still just 1cm and long. WHAT THE!!? All that for nothing!!? I think we were all a little confused. So they sent us home and the contractions finally stopped at around 12:30 this morning. Now, Tuesday, Ive been extremely nauseous again.. puked up all my breakfast and haven't really had an appetite at all. Ive had a few contractions all day but it really seems to have slowed down and almost stopped.

I am so confused... what a TEASE! I want my baby out! And since my body really isn't changing AT ALL, I am feeling so discouraged that I will just have to be sleep deprived, uncomfortable and in pain for the next 3 weeks. Please no.

So a strange update at 36 weeks. Ill be interested to see what happens at my 37 week appointment on Thursday with my baby Doctor. Here's to hoping its encouraging news!

We are all anticipating the arrival of our little girl. Even Carter told me today "Mommmmmmmmmyyyyy.... I am waiting a real long time for my sister.... take her out of your tummy so I can kiss her!!!" - Sorry buddy, I would if I could.
