Keeping Up!

Life is moving along quickly, and for now, its kind of nice. Im 22 weeks now and thank goodness! So excited for the 24 week milestone with this baby girl! 21 Weeks was hard for me.

I felt super sick and had wicked heartburn, and all of my meds were kicking my butt and making me feel completely exhausted! So SO tired. It was hard to accomplish anything, and I knew it needed to change. I could not be a mom of two very active boys with no energy.. it just simply wasn't working.

Im now 22 weeks and really feeling a little better. Hooray! I hope it sticks around this time! Ive still felt a little nauseous and heartburn like crazy BUT I'm am proudly only taking 2 diclectin and only at night! Its a miracle! I OD'd on that stuff with both my boys.. the entire pregnancy! Speaking of the boys, Carter is anxiously awaiting his baby sister! Constantly hugging and kissing my belly.. talking to her, telling her how beautiful she is and how much he loves her. MELTS MY HEART!! He is going to be such an amazing big brother for her, her entire life. What a blessing!!

I Had my Baby Doctors appointment this morning, baby's heart was 131 BPM. Perfect! Ive been getting braxton hicks contractions multiple times a day lately and was a little worried about how early its been happening. But my Doctor assured me that from my ultrasound everything looks perfect! Baby is a good size she said and my cervix is long and not doing a thing, so its just my body training for this incredible marathon I call Labour!

Ive also been super worried about my weight gaining and (what feels like to me) a HUGE belly. I weighed myself at my moms house on Sunday and thought I had gained 25lbs! Her scale was a little off. I felt so reassured when I talked to my doctor today about it. I have gained 18 lbs total so far and only 3 lbs in the last 4 weeks (fewff!) So I'm right on track and my tummy is measuring at 25 weeks which is no surprise to me.. I measured 2 weeks ahead for both the boys and my doctor told me that because its not my first pregnancy, my tummy will pop quicker and that its nothing we need to be worried about! What a relief!

So now, I can ease my mind a little and keep working hard to stay healthy.. to stop puking and continue walking everyday! A healthy me means a healthy little girl, and thats good enough motivation for me!

The weather has been wonderful the last two weeks! Its been hot and sunny and rainy too which no overheating pregnant lady will complain about! The boys and I have been really enjoying this beautiful city we live in! Exploring it all!

And pretty much looking for bugs EVERYWHERE we go lol. Love these boys! Bentley has started a new thing... its actually quite gross. Every morning, he like to eat waffles.. just like his big brother... except he freaks out if I try to put them in the toaster... he prefers them straight out of the freezer... frozen... with butter on it. EWwwww!

A little weird Bentley.

The boys are also helping to prepare for their little sister! This week, we cleaned out our Honda... and listed it on Kijiji for sale. It sold the same day! What a blessing! The boys LOVED sitting it in with no carseats, while I took them for a little ride around the parking lot. Bentley kept saying ... "WHOA.. WOW".. with a huge grin on his face!

Today, we picked up our new Jeep Grand Cheroke. Its so luxurious! How exciting!

This past week, I also finished my very first crocheting project! Carter's baby blanket that my mom made him when he was born, was completely LOVED TO DEATH. It was a complete disaster and totally falling apart! So I knew I needed to make him a new one. My mom showed me what to do and within two weeks it was done! I made it smaller, because I know its going to stretch out!

Old and New...

Carter also has his "piece" which he calls one special corner on his blankie that was looking ... well WOW... kinda sick...

Carter LOVES his new blankie so much! Thank goodness! In fact, I thought I was going to have to trick him and put them both in the laundry and then just take out the new one.. BUT he saw the new one finished.. and would NOT let the old "dead blankie" (as he called it) even touch his new one let alone put them in the wash together lol it was hilarious! He loves his new fresh blankie so much and I feel so accomplished! Now Carter and Bentley both have sweet crocheted blankies that they adore and I can't wait to add a cute pink one to them for their sister in the fall!
