Third times a charm!
Well, the news is out! Brian and I are expecting our third little baby and could not be more excited about it! In December is when this baby's story began. Brian and I were pretty content with two little boys ... and really they made us feel really happy, but there was a tiny part of me that was not "done" having babies yet. So I went to the temple ... without Brian and humbly prayed to our Father in Heaven for some guidance. I really needed to know if there were more little spirits waiting to come to us or not. I was also so scared to be sick for 9 months straight again like I was with both Carter & Bentley. My answer was almost immediate. I felt the spirit so strong telling me, yes, one more time. Brian and I have always wanted 4 children but the way my body handles pregnancy is hard.. for me. So I again prayed and asked Heavenly Father that if there was more than one little spirit waiting to come to us.. please send them together because I was not sure if I could do it again. I felt satisfied going home knowing that we were not done and that we needed to get pregnant one more time.
Brian and I talked about my experiences and then decided to try. Usually it takes Brian and I a while of trying before we successful become pregnant and I was sure this time would be no different but was I ever wrong. First try and we were pregnant! This was a testimony builder for me for sure! God knew that I maybe would have second guessed by answer and experience in the temple if it would have taken us months and months to get pregnant. This baby was meant to be. And meant to be, right now. This time I secretly took a pregnancy test without Brian knowing. The test says to wait 3 minutes... this time.. in only seconds, the positive line came up before the first line... I was defiantly pregnant! And on January 29th, 2014 our life was instantly changed!
Instead of running downstairs screaming that I was pregnant to Brian, I decided to hold it in for the evening and make him his own fun announcement the next day! This is the end result of the video I showed him when he got home from work the following day!
He looked at me and said "ARE YOU SERIOUS!?" with a giant grin on his face. We were so excited! I was 4 weeks to the day (I think).

At 4 weeks, I felt awesome! No sickness just excitement! But by 5 weeks, everything changed. From 5 weeks to 10 and a half weeks I thought I was going to die. I was puking non stop. Everything set it off and nothing helped me. I traded in using my toothpaste to only being able to use my little boys bubble gum transformers tooth paste. I could not and would not step foot in my kitchen without puking. I would, on average, puke 10 times a day. I could not even keep an ice cube down. I called my doctor numerous times... while puking on the phone begging him to help me. I was taking pills worth $24 A DAY and still puking. I was so discouraged and seriously falling into depression from it. I have never been so sick in my life. Valentines, my 27th birthday, church meetings and commitments all went out the window as I was just trying to survive day by day. We told our parents and siblings at 6 weeks that we were expecting. I REALLY wanted to wait longer to tell anyone but we just could not, we needed all the help we could get. This is how we told them...

A little birds nest with an egg and a little poem that says...
"I do not have a face to see, to put inside a frame. I do not have soft cheeks to kiss, I don't yet have a name. You can't yet hold my tiny hands, nor whisper in my ear. Its still too soon to sing a song, or cuddle me so near. But all will change come October 8th, Thats when they say I'm due. Im your new grandson or granddaughter, I can't wait till I meet you! All I ask between then and now, is your patience while I grow. I promise Ill be with the wait, cause of all the love Ill show. All I have to give you now, is a wish to you from me. I cannot wait to be a part of my new family. Heaven sent me to my parents so that I can learn and grow. They say that Im one of the greatest gifts that they will ever know!"
I cannot read this poem without tearing up. We are so lucky.
After we told our family and a few close friends, we were overwhelmed with the amount of support and help that came our way. I really had to learn humility I guess... I am not usually one to ask for help and even sometimes accept it. I put on the "I am fine, Ill survive, I can do it myself" face and struggle trough many things... but this pregnancy has not been one of them. People would offer dinner and I would never turn it down because I could not ever make anything. My day usually consisted of lying on the living floor in the fetal position crying and in so much pain from the nausea and puking. That was it.. all while my two very board and curious boys destroyed the house and watched a TON of movies. I was completely useless! In the beginning, nothing at all seemed appetizing. Nothing sweet or salty, nothing plain or flavourful. I tried every home remedy for "morning sickness" and nothing helped. The worst smell for me... even to this day... is unfiltered water (minus the water at Brian's parents house and my parents house) but MY house... ITS AWFUL! It all smells like toilet bowl water and my downstairs bathroom toilet bowl water makes me sick even thinking about it.. strange I know. lol Thankfully there is a light at then end of the tunnel.
Those 5 weeks seemed like a blur to me... I am so thankful for friends who came over with dinner (more than once) and fed my kids and cleaned my kitchen while I lay on the couch. I am thankful for family who helped me, looked for remedies for me, brought me groceries and dinner more than once. I am so blessed and would not have been able to make it though those 5 and a half weeks without you! You are all angels!
I am so happy to say that I have not puked in a little over a week! I am now feeling like a regular first trimester mama! Nauseous all the time but SO much better than I was!! I am truly so thankful for that! I am also feeling amazing because I have never felt relief in my pregnancies ... especially this early on! What a blessing!
For my birthday, Brian bought me a fetal doppler so I am so lucky to be able to hear the baby's heartbeat whenever I want to! And on March 16th, we heard our baby for the first time! A wonderful, beautiful sound of 162 bpm! It was amazing and music to my ears! Since then, we have heard baby almost every day. Its an amazing moment that Brian and I share before bed almost every night. I love those moments.
So as of today, I think I will be 12 weeks on Wednesday but we have our first ultrasound wednesday morning to tell for sure exactly how far along we are. I am so excited that our big news is out and that I no longer have to hide this protruding baby belly or come up with any more excuses as to why I couldn't make it or show up to anything! Im excited to record this journey just like I did with my first two boys and remember it forever.
I did not take weekly photos this time.. simply because I couldn't. It was not possible for me to even stand up most days but at 10 and a half weeks, with no makeup, not showered, hair from a few days back and in sweat pants, we took only a couple. I am so excited to be in my second trimester and to have no puked in a week! It really is an accomplishment.

I really am so lucky to be able to conceive a child. I know this baby specifically was meant t be on this earth with me at this time. I am so in love with him or her already and I cannot wait to hold my little sweet babe.

Taking everything in a day at a time, and falling in love all over with our newest little nugget.
