He sure keeps me on my toes.. last week, as I was doing my hair.. look who got creative with my makeup..
Poor Brian was NOT impressed that his little boy tried to put on my makeup lol but It was bound to happen because he watches me do it everyday lol we had a little chat about how I'm a girl and sometimes girls wear make up.. but its just a girl thing haha.
The last few weeks have gone so fast and have been really busy! We finished making home-made chocolates with my family last weekend. They turned out great! But I am really happy all the chocolate making is over for another year.. that was insane! I made more fondant than I ever have.. I perfected the temperature of boiling the fondant though!
Although my hands had blisters on them from beating the fondant so much. It was crazy.
We went over to dip all of the chocolates at my moms house. As soon as we got there, Bentley would NOT let his grandma go. He loves her so much. he literally ran into her arms, snuggled in and stayed there for at least a half hour.. just like this...
Cute right!! She is one lucky grandma and he is one lucky grandson! Carter was IN LOVE with his grandma's little train set. He could watch it for hours and his Great-Grandma Mockler was right in there with him. I love moments like these.

We diped a few different fondants before dinner and before the kids went to bed but decided to take a break and eat, bath the kids and put them all to bed before finishing off.
Everyone helped out and it was done quickly and they turned out great! Yum Yum Yum! Im pretty sure we made somewhere between 800-1000 chocolates. This chocoholic is in heaven!
Brian and I with our boys have been doing the 12 days of Christmas this year and they are LOVING IT! I made this little 12 days tree for Carter to mark off one a day in the morning when he wakes up...
And before bed, we have been unwrapping one new Christmas Story to read before bed! This was something I wanted to do for all 24 nights before Christmas but didn't want to spend a fortune on Christmas books so I compromised with the bank account and went to the dollar store and bought 12 different ($1.50) Christmas books! It turned out great!!
Carter and Bentley both are really into this new little tradition we've made! Each night, they are so excited to unwrap a surprise Christmas book. I think Ill do this every year for them!
We've been prepping Carter for Christmas this year.. telling him whats going to happen and who Santa Clause is.. oddly enough, Santa Clause has become Carter's new hero lol. He LOVES him! Even when he sees little adds with Santa.. he freaks out screaming "Mom, MOM, MOM!!!! Its Santa Clause!!" lol its really hilarious! This past weekend, we were invited to go to Brian's Dads kids christmas party at his work.. When Santa came in.. Carter was completely "Star-struck" hahaha
jumping up and down.. jaw wide open and saying "Santa, SANTA!" the joy in his heart was undeniable and the magic of Christmas came pouring into my soul. I love having a three year old at christmas! (yes, I might be eating my words on Christmas day with a cranky, over-tired and rude little boy but Ill take my chances.. he is so sweet!)
Bentley was not so impressed by Santa this year.. Brian put him on Santa's lap and Bentley just frowned. He was not happy about sitting on Santa's lap hahaha maybe nest year we might get a smile.
But Carter.. He ran right up there when Santa called his name and sat on his lap.. and was so excited! He even let out a HUGE.. LOUD and totally overdone.. "CHEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSEEEE" lol
His cousins on the Reed side of our family went up too! Lucy was first! She was so relaxed!
Sawyer was, like Bentley, not impressed by this creppy looking guy that everyone calls Santa.
And Marsden was totally happy to go up and tell Santa what he wanted for Christmas this year.
Its crazy the difference one year can make. Last year, I was sitting on Santa's lap and Carter was on my lap... still crying. Every age is a new adventure and although new phases can be hard, we plug along and try to find joy in even the hard phases and remember.. its just a phase. It will pass and the next one will just be worse so embrace it while you can!
