Halloween.2013.

I thought I would do a Halloween post today since tomorrow is really Bentley's big day! I have never really been into Halloween but this year has been so much fun! We've carved pumpkins, went to a halloween party, did Ghouls night out at Heritage Park with the McCollum Family.. crafts.. the list goes on! I really feel like the heavens above gave me a halloween baby for a reason.. and this year we have completely embraced this spooky little holiday and have enjoyed every moment of it!

The boys and I made some adorable little mummy lanterns for the house. They were SO easy and SO fun to make.. Carter was really into it. He will tell you that the lantern with the big eyes is Carter and the lantern with the little eyes is Bentley. lol

We also bought just a couple more halloween decorations for the mantel. Brian will not touch them because they have sparkles on them... serious phobia lol... but I love them, and could not resist!

And the fall season really wouldn't be fall without raking up all the leaves and letting the kids go wild in them! The only thing is that this year, Bentley still isn't big enough to fight back at a leaf fight.. so this year.. Carter won.. but watch out buddy.. he might get ya good next year!

On Monday night, we had Grandma & Grandpa Reed over to help us carve our pumpkin!

Bentley was really mostly interested in the pumpkin tools and eating the "lid" of the pumpkin.

As for Carter, he was totally grossed out by the insides of the pumpkin! Everyone encouraged him to get his hand inside .. but the closest he would get was helping Daddy (after Daddy had taken it out of the pumpkin) put the insides into the bowl... he was not excited about it...

But he did it and was mostly concerned about washing his hand but still excited that he did it!

Mom Reed and I made pumpkin seeds.. just a little bit of vegetable oil and salt .. and they were SO yummy!!

Then it was time to carve the pumpkin! Carter sat on Brian's knee and helped him do it! ADORABLE!

And Voila! It was done! Carter was so proud of his pumpkin! Seriously, he is such a cute kid!

And both boys were REALLY intreated about the candles that were inside.

Now on the eve of Halloween and Bentley's birthday we are anticipating so much! Day activities for Bentley, cupcakes, birthday presents, a "spooky" halloween dinner and of course.. Trick-or-Treating! I feel so lucky to have the family that I do. To have two adorable sons .. who yes, sometimes drive me CRAZY... but I could not live without them.

I really wanted to do another family halloween costume theme this year. I want to do family ones for as long as I can because Im sure one day my boys will think Im too lame and would rather do these things with their friends... maybe still ill be that embracing mom who just finds out what they are being for halloween.. and show up to the party matching... they would still love me right!? lol

This year, Brian and I are being Bank robbers, Carter is being a Cop...

Carter LOVES his costume.. always asking me if he can wear it! The only thing is that it has this whistle.. SO LOUD .. and so satisfying.. for an almost 3 year old!

And Bentley.. he is being a bag of Money! Cute Right!? I made this costume for him, stuffed it with fluff and voila!

I have to admit though.. if Bentley was actually a bag of money.. I would totally steal him... cutest bag of money Ive ever seen!

But he REALLY hated when Carter would push on his belly and say "its so squishy" while laughing lol

So there you have it! Happy Halloween everyone! I cannot believe that in the morning, my baby boy will be ONE! What happened!!
