One Day at a Time.

Sometimes it feels like life goes far too fast. I write about our life, the good the bad.. all our memories... then suddenly it's two weeks later and my photos are piling up waiting to be blogged! I love this blog. I love that it is our family.. our memories.. and our moments in life that will never be forgotten. So here we go again.. trying to catch up on our last couple of weeks in one simple post keeping all our little moments together.

The past couple of weeks have been really fun and super busy. My Photography is starting to pick up again for the "busy" season and I am loving it! We have been hanging out with friends and Carter has been in HEAVEN being able to hang out with lincoln so much lately. He honestly looks up to Lincoln so much and everyday he asks me if we can "Eat UNCH at Linc's house?" It is so sweet! Although Carter has always been a SUPER active, very stubborn little guy.. he has this sweet little sensitive side to him that I am in love with. I love that I, being his mommy, get to see sides of him that not many other people get to see. It makes my relationship with him so special. So if you have every really hung around Carter, you would have seen his beloved "Blankie" .. This blankie is his very favourite and he will not sleep without it. My Mom made it for him when he was born and he has completely attached himself to it. It's his comfort.. his safe place. Blankie has a very special place in our hearts and home! Carter also has just ONE little corner of his Blankie that he has always called "Ma Piece" .. we have no clue where he came up with that name.. he just started saying it one day and when you ask him where his piece is.. he will show you.. if you try to trick him by giving him a different corner of his blankie.. he will call your bluff and point you in the right direction! But last week.. his poor piece was loved to death.. literally...

We made a quick trip to Grandma's house and she fixed that piece right up! Thanks Mom! But now I am trying to make him a new blankie.. same exact materials and the same way my mom made it.. this way .. blankie can go into a special wash.. and come out SUPER FRESH (and new!) I wonder if it will work.. probably not.

Last weekend, we also went with some friends to Drumheller to the Tyrell Museum. We left in the morning and convoyed over! We followed "Linc's Car!!!" ... which was fun with our little two-year-old backseat driver making sure we could ALWAYS SEE Linc's Car.

He had his one dinosaur and THREE trains with him .. of course.

The museum was really fun.. and with Lincoln and Carter running through most of it.. it went pretty quick too! We have fun hanging out with all these fun people! (Thanks Andrew for taking the picture for the team!)

And after the museum we decided to check out the go-karts! This was Carter's very first time on a go-Kart .. this mama was a little nervous.. but I trusted his Daddy to be careful!

 photo 5-16.jpg

Matt and Kaylee were right into it! No lice scares for them from the rented helmets!

 photo 6-16.jpg

And Bentley and I hung out on the side lines .. fist pump and High Five!

 photo 7-15.jpg

There he goes.. jump in buddy! Hold on!

 photo 9-14.jpg

And although he doesn't look it.. Brian said he was SUPER excited to get going!

 photo 10-14.jpg

Everybody else jumped in their go-karts too..

And us mama's watched diligently as those competitive Daddy's had our pride and joy sitting beside them!

 photo 15-9.jpg

And then they were off.. I don't think Ive been more entertained watching go-karts before.. first was Brian.. trying SO HARD to make sure NOBODY passed him and Carter.. (Brian is just a little bit competitive lol) Andrew keeping up at first and fist pumping with Lincoln as they drove by.. Kaylee had the WORST go-kart EVER! Her poor car was shaking SO MUCH .. but we did all get a really good laugh out of it.. and then there was Matt and Zach... rivals.. Matt not letting Zach pass him and then the very last second Zach took Matt out and Matt said "screw this" and decided to drive right through the tires onto the grass just to catch up. It was hilarious! And we all got a kick out of it!

After that we went out for lunch and right before we headed back to Calgary we stopped at one of the many dinosaur parks for the kids to let out their last bit of energy in hopes that we would all have a nice and quiet ride home.. which we did!

This past week has been fun too. The weather hasn't been that great.. kinda rainy.. so it was perfect for these two sweet boys to cuddle up in Mommy & Daddy's bed watching Cartoons.

OH MY HECK I LOVE THEM! I never really understood how fun it could be to dress boys too until I had them! How much cuter could they be.. really..

Bentley has also been trying lots of new foods! So far, he seems pretty indifferent about most of them...but lately he has really liked butternut squash .. just like his big brother did.. and he LOVES blueberries! The other day we tried Zucchini ...

 photo 27-3.jpg

He like it too! The only thing he has tried and is not really liking as of right now is bananas!

Carter and I also decided to plant a fun strawberry seed! We bought the kit for $1 at target and Carter did it all by himself!

Now its my job not to kill it.. like I did his poor tomato plant! I'm still working on this whole "green thumb" thing. One step at a time, enjoying everyday life as a family and not taking this beautiful life for granted. I am blessed.
