All over the Place!
Its nearing the end of Brian's school semester.. which is so exciting but with all of his school papers, assignments and presentations he has been taking the laptop with him everyday. Which is well-needed but leaves me little time to keep up to date on my blog. So he is home tonight and I am taking advantage.. making a quick post .. which is really all over the place.. but, Oh well I need to write it!
So to start this mess of a post off.. Recently, on March 26th Brian and I celebrated our 9TH Anniversary! Well 9th from when we started dating. Yes, when Brian popped the question.... "Will you go out with me?!" oh how innocent, young and naive we were. I miss those days when we really had no responsibility but to make it home on time for curfew. Life was simple, and at the time we wished to be married, have kids.. stay out late .. and well... here we are today.. living the dream we dreamt about as two 16 year old "kids".. not realizing these days come with bills.. responsibilities.. decisions.. lots and lots of decisions and heart ache. Life is not so simple. But we are lucky to live this crazy, unpredictable life together.. as a team. I Love you Brian Reed! So for our 9TH "anniversary".. I made us a cake... a really YUMMY totally healthy cake!
Complete with chocolate covered strawberries!
I truly think about how long Bri and I have been together and I love it. I LOVE that we have memories as teenagers together. And that although we got married at the tender age of 20, we dating for 4 years before that. Courting is some of our very best and fun memories! You were meant for me Brian. I love you to the Moon and Back!
On to the next subject! How cute are my kids!? Yes, this is a bias mother speaking here.. but seriously.. Carter LOVES to clean...
Yes that is a baby wipe on Brian's nice TV. But how could I stop him.. he was so proud to be helping me clean! WAY TOO CUTE!! And as fast as he cleans.. he makes a mess!
Brian and I THOUGHT Carter was sleeping in one saturday morning.. so naturally we slept in too... until I heard a little "Mommy" coming from his room. I went to go give him a good morning welcome.. and was welcomed to that disaster! Note the clothes ON TOP of his dresser lol! Yes, he is the cutest!
Now, also our new favourite thing to do is make "desert" or "soups"...
This one was his first! It consisted of Water, Sugar, stale marshmallows and an elastic!... yumm... He has made so many after this and I LOVE IT! It is something I use to do as a little girl. How Fun! Last night, he made dinner for the bugs. It consisted of Water, Dirt, leaves and a few whole wheat noodles... oh ya.. and dish soap.. to taste. Once he was done "making it" we brought it outside and dumped it on the grass for the "bugs"! OH MY GOSH.. CUTE!
I took Carter and Bentley on a bus ride last week.. down to the library. Carter was in HEAVEN.. loving every second of our adventure! Looking at every city bus, C-Train.. and school bus!

He is at such a fun age!
On March 21st, Bentley sat all by himself for a solid minute.. although he was totally hunched over practically eating his little toes. He is still doing about the same but totally wobbly .. he usually can only last a few seconds and then he falls over to one side. But as CUTE as a button for sure!!
AND last weekend was Easter. This year was the very first Easter that I was so excited for! Every day leading up to Easter, we did crafts and crafts and more crafts!... And took a picture or two!
Carter LOVES dumping things... ALL THINGS.. ALL THE TIME!
And this cute little red bucket has more than one purpose!
Carter thought it was pretty awesome to fill the bucket with easter eggs for Bentley too!
I found this cute idea on Pintrest! Free paint swatches .. such a cute idea! Thank you Pintrest!
And my art skills came out too! I can hardly draw a circle let alone a whole bunny!! Go Mommy Go!

and the finished product...

We also decorated easter eggs.. this year I hard boiled them and used permanent markers instead of hollow eggs and dye. I thought it was more toddler friendly!

"Soup for the Easter bunny".... Ingredients: Elmo's bathtub Dye, Water, rocks, easter eggs and a few Nacho Chips. Wow that Easter bunny is one LUCKY bunny!

And between all of the easter Crafts we also had to do a normal craft... that included trains.. of course. So I made some Trains for Carter... and for the day the totally trumped the real trains! Success!!

We made some cute easter treats for Carter's friends.. sugar cookies.. a lot of them.. and look who was my little helper while Carter was napping...

AND how could I ever say Thank you to my previous Coworker.. Dwina! Every year at our office she would pull out this adorable easter tree and every year I loved it more and more! Well this year.. even though I am not working there any more.. she gave it to me!

Carter had so much fun decorating it and it will be such a fun easter tradition for us! Every little detail on it is so cute! I love it! Thank you Dwina!!

Our Easter was Beautiful, the Easter bunny brought Carter a BIKE....
and Bentley a new book and Carseat toy!
We woke up in the morning and had an easter egg hunt for Carter. We hid 15 eggs... each with one little chocolate mini egg inside and although we had this cute bucket for him to collect his eggs in...
Everytime he found an egg, he would SHOVE the chocolate in his mouth and disgard the plastic egg in the bucket lol.. a little bit of a different strategy but it was easter.. soooo... okay???
He ran around trying to find ALL the eggs and eventually had ALL the eggs in his mouth lol..
And.. needless to say Carter was pretty thrilled about his new bike...
Cute Bentley was really distracted by his new book and toy too! Thank you Easter Bunny!!

Easter Sunday was a beautiful day. We spent the day at church, playing with Carter's new bike and we spent the evening with my in-laws for Easter dinner.
My mother-in-law is super sweet. She decorated the table really cute..

And wrote everyones name on a little easter egg... and since Bentley and I have been sharing a chair during family dinner until he is big enough to sit in a high chair.. he even got a little egg.. a mini one! It was adorable!

Carter.. being the high energy little boy that he is.. and I went outside to ride bikes! Yes this is me.. a 26 year old lady on a trike! And I rocked it!!

We had so much fun! I love doing things like this with my little man. I wouldn't want any other memories than this!

We finished Easter Sunday off doing another Easter Egg hunt that Carter and Bentley's Grandma and Grandpa Reed set up and this time we got Carter to collect all the eggs before breaking them open and eating all the candy....

...although all the candy got eaten within 20 minutes of finding all his eggs.. which resulted in a (WAY TO MUCH SUGAR) tantrum.. and quick goodbyes. It was still a special Easter and I couldn't write an Easter post without giving thanks to our Saviour Jesus Christ. He who atoned for our sins.. I am thankful for him. For the reality of his resurrection and the true meaning of why we celebrate easter.
