.Puddles.
Although today doesn't really look like it, yesterday was beautiful outside and it really made me so excited that Spring is one day closer to being here! I mean, everyday is one day closer right!? Everything about spring is just so.. wonderful! Sounds of the birds singing, the house windows all open as the fresh breeze blows through our busy house. The everyday walks that I miss so much! And of course.. the puddles!
Having kids with puddles is SO MUCH FUN! It really brings back those fun memories I have as a kid myself of running as fast as I could through puddles and not noticing at all how wet my pants were until I was done... then it was a problem. Carter was (once again this year) a little nervous about puddles at first.. but by the middle of our walk he was getting the hang of it! I cannot believe this is my little boy! Look at how BIG he is getting!!
He started off slow...
And then would say "Mark, Set, GO" and Run as fast as he could alongside his auntie who was "racing" him. She really took one for the team.. she was also soaking wet by the end of the walk!
Bentley was all snuggled up in his car seat planted on our stroller fast asleep. What a little snuggle bug he is... all bundled up with some fresh air to breath in... so refreshing I'm sure! The best puddles are the deep one. You know, the ones that as you step your foot in them they splash up into your boots!
I love how much Carter loves his Auntie. He wanted to hold her hand the whole first half of our walk.. when I would say "Hey Carter, want to hold Mommy's hand?" he wouldn't even look at me.. not even second guessing his response... "No". Its quite funny.. but a part of me REALLY wanted to hold his hand too!
There is such a special relationship between Carter and Amanda. I love it! And I will boast here.. that I have that special Auntie/Nephew relationship with my little Tater-tot (Taytum)! Yes, when he sees me he will crawl as fast as possible to me... I pick him up and kiss that lovely soft baby skin. He melts my heart! Or the best feeling is when Amanda is holding him and he wants to come to his Auntie. PURE LOVE! Oh goodness I long for those moments. I love you Taytum!
Also this week, my sister is 14 weeks pregnant with her second baby!
So exciting. Look at that little lemon. Only a few more weeks until she finds out if she is cooking me another nephew of a niece. Bets are in and Im saying this time its a Niece!! That's my guess anyways. Let's see if I am right! Last time I was wrong lol.
