Where has January gone!
January is almost over and I can hardly believe it! This has been a very tiring month. The first two weeks of January we were all sick. It seriously felt like one thing after the other. It felt like our little family was hit with almost everything! Carter had the flu, bronchitis, a lung infection, a really bad head cold and even a sore throat.

Brian had the flu, bad head cold and pink eye... Bentley and I were dong just fine at first as I tried to take care of a sick hubby, a sick toddler all while juggling an infant and disinfecting EVERYTHING... EVERYDAY!

I was bound to get it.. and I did. Just as Brian was finishing up being sick.. I got it.. the flu, a head cold and pink eye.... Arrgg! I tried SO HARD not to get Bentley sick. We tried not to touch him to much... no kisses on his face and we let him sleep ALL THE TIME!

Carter was such a sad sick little boy. He didn't want to eat anything for an entire week and went from a size 5 diaper to a size 4! It was so sad! He went back to two naps a day and was seriously sleeping up to 16 hours a day. All he wanted to do was watch his Percy Shows and cuddle on the couch. Once he was starting to feel better... we did some much needed "sticker therapy"...

Which he LOVED! And he eventually went back to his usual self building tracks with me all day!

And then, just when we thought we were finally in the clear poor little Bentley got a head cold and cough.
I am so happy that its all over now. That was exhausting. And its so nice to have everyone back to normal...

...and smiling!

We are also really excited that hockey is back! That lockout was silly but its not going to stop us from watching hockey this season, we still love it!

I L.O.V.E this one...

And although the boys don't look very happy.... i L.O.V.E that they are holding hands!

CUTE!!!!
Now almost 3 months old, Bentley is really becoming a true little baby. He is starting to like the jungle play mat that Carter used to love and its so fun!

He absolutely adores bath time. Ive never seen such a little swimmer before! Kicking and smiling the whole time!

And he is super cuddly which we are all loving!

Aside from last night .. which was terrible, and when he was sick, Bentley has been an incredible sleeper! He usually sleeps 12 hours and wakes up just once to eat! Its truly such a treat!
And this is where the magic happens!

We are super lucky and soaking in every moment and every amazing night because I'm sure when he starts teething... our nights wont be nearly as wonderful!
Carter has really started to take to his baby brother in the last couple of weeks too which is SO nice because he had a couple of harder weeks filled with jealously.. so Im glad we are back to the loving a little bit more! Carter also has regressed with his potty training since Bentley came along. Which I was told would happen so it hasn't really been a big surprise to me but Ive REALLY been trying to encourage to go potty again. Ive made him a new potty chart.. a Percy one and even bought Candy for him AFTER he goes potty... exhausting all my options I know lol
Two night ago, Carter was refusing to wear a diaper.. so I told him he could take it off IF he sat on the potty... he did... but nothing happened. So I put on his Percy underwear....

(This will humiliate him forever but how could I resist! What a cute little bum!!)
.... and then asked him EVERY 3 minutes if he needed to go potty... and he would always say "nope". Then about 25 minutes in he came to me to show me that in between my 3 minute intervals... he peed. I sat him on the potty and told him ... yuck... but we all make mistakes and that we could try again.. so I put on new percy underwear. Now.. Carter is in this new stage where he thinks.... if I cant see you, you cant see me. So 20 minutes after his accident.. he was standing in the middle of the living room in his percy underwear covering his eyes (so we "couldn't" see him lol) and pushing! I quickly put him on the potty.... but nothing happened. So after 5 minutes I took him off and explained to him that if he needed to poop.. he needed to go IN the potty!! Two minutes later... he's covering his eyes.. pushing again. I didn't know what to do so I looked at him calmly and said... "If you poop, your going to get poop on your legs... ewww... your going to get poop on your legs.. you better go in the potty." He looked at me with HUGE eyes.. RAN to the potty and pooped right away! Hahaha he's just like his daddy.. cant even imagine poop on him!
We were SO HAPPY! Since he has refused to go potty since Bentley arrived. What a big Boy!
Love you Bud!
