A Mommy of Two!
"A Mommy of Two" .. I hear this all the time now... hows going from One to Two kids? Hows being a Mommy of two? Is it scary?
To be totally honest, it really hasn't been as bad of a transition as we were anticipating. Bentley is a pretty good baby... he's never had his nights and days messed up (knock on wood!) and aside from 3 nights since he's been born, he's been really good at night time which has been really nice for us! He hardly ever cries.. loves to cuddle and be swaddled really tight.
Carter is still really good with Bentley. He tells us when "Baby sad" and gives Bentley tons of kisses and loves. Although Carter does require more attention and trying to juggle Carter while I nurse Bentley has been the little challenge... actually .. let me rephrase... trying to juggle George AND Carter has been the little challenge... George is driving me crazy lately.. him and Carter totally egg each other on... we have got to get a handle on this issue lol... and they usually bug each other while I am nursing Bentley and my hands are full... of course.
Brian has been working really hard at school lately and is usually at school for 15 hours a day.. not even kidding.. its exhausting for him and me too but we only have a week and a half left of classes and then 3 exams and then he will be done for the semester and I cannot wait to be home with him for Christmas this year.. its going to be such a nice break for us and the boys too!
Heavenly Father truly knows us.. I don't know what I would do with a super active toddler and a newborn if Bentley wasn't such a good baby... We are so blessed! And truly, I am sooo lucky to have such good boys who love each other so much already!
Bentley is seriously growing like a weed! Its pretty sad how fast they grow but we are so happy that he such a healthy little boy!
When Carter was born we made sure to stamp his hands and feet and we did it the day he was 2 weeks old.. so keeping the tradition... we also stamped Bentley's hands and feet the day he was 2 weeks old.. and it is INSANE! Look at how big his hands are!!
C.R.A.Z.Y!
We had his three week checkup a couple of days ago and he now weighs 10 pounds 4 ounces! He is in the 90th percentile and no concerns. Bentley also really like his swing...
...which is great for me when Carter is ready for some Mommy and Me time. I must admit I was getting a little tired of constantly playing trains and Cars and felt like Carter needed some "brain" activities so the boys and I took a trip to the dollar store to pick our some fun things to do. We bought a white board..
.. whichh is way more fun for him than he looks lol .. I draw numbers and letters on it and have him repeat me... also.. snowmen... he LOVES snowmen lol.
We bought some pipe cleaners and paint... buttons and colourful bags along with different colour pop cycle sticks to help him learn his colours.. he's doing pretty good! His favourite colour is Green ("Geen")! He can count ... One.. two.. three ("Tea").. four ("fo")...(then ALWAYS skips five and ends with Six ("icks").
We bought lots of other good activity ideas too like puzzles and magnets .. there are so many fun things kids can do with the simplest things.. it makes for such better days! One of his favourite things we bought was foam barn animal stickers...
We have made lots of pictures so far lol
He seriously LOVES them and it helps him to learn his animals too!!

I have also been trying to stay organized during this crazy time of year.. with Bentley being born, Carter's birthday and Christmas right around the corner its a little tricky to say the least.. but we are doing our best! This is the first year since Brian and I have been married that I am Not done my Christmas shopping in September.. in fact, its almost December and I'm not done! Its killing me.. but to redeem myself.. we were able to get Bentleys Baby announcement and out Christmas Cards out this year before December 1st!
I made both Bentley's Announcement and our Christmas Card on the computer and had them printed at costco .. but I can't take all the credit.. I was "inspired" by the designs on Pintrest... they have such cute ideas!
I cannot believe.. and kinda don't want to face the reality of it.. that my sweet little Carter is going to be two years old in just a couple of days.. we had a birthday party for him this weekend and Im excited to blog about it.. but I must say.. him turning two is totally a bitter sweet feeling.. I'm excited for the new adventure.. terrified of the "terrible twos" and so Sad that my baby is already 2... time flies... I love you so much Carter.. and you will always be my baby boy!
