5 years of Bliss and a weekend a fun!
On Friday August 17th, Brian and I celebrated our 5th anniversary! Its crazy to me how fast time has gone... I can still remember our wedding day like it was yesterday... rushing around.. getting my hair done... not really liking it but having to leave for Cardston or I would have been late... I remember looking at Brian over the alter and being so excited that he would be my forever! Our wedding day was so special for me... I love looking back... and just remembering the excitement I had. I love you Brian Reed.
I feel like "5 years" is a "Big" anniversary... then 10 years... 20 years... etc. So I wanted to do something really special for Brian. I had originally bought Brian's anniversary gift way back in April ... It was the new iPad... I knew with him going back to school full time in September we probably wouldn't be in a position to buy it .. so I bought it early and had it hidden for months! And I'm so glad I did it! He LOVES it! Although I knew he would love it, I still wanted to do something a little more sentimental for our anniversary too... so I decided to do a 5 day love note thing.. here is what I did. 5 days before our actual anniversary I started it. I wrote him a love letter each day and every evening he would find a little love note on his pillow reminiscing about each of the years we have been married.
For year one I bought 5 helium heart balloons.. and put them over our bed... Carter was so excited he popped one of them lol.. oops..
Day 2 was a frame that I made for Brian.. It has a bunch of adorable Forever couples.. including our grandparents on it... and Brian and I will always be a forever couple... just like them! Love You Bri-Guy!
Day 3 was just a love note... a really cute one I might add!
Day 4 was another frame I did... I put on this one all the things that I think have made our marriage the best marriage of all time. Marriage is all about love and sacrifice.. its not always easy... but we love it and wouldn't change it for the world. Live by these rules in your marriage and its sure to be the best!!
And Day 5 was his iPad! For our anniversary date, we went out for dinner at the Keg (Thanks mom for watching Carter!). It was delicious!! Brian had a steak and I had lobster.. yum!! Our server asked us if we were celebrating anything... we said "our anniversary!" .. 2 minutes later the manager came by our table and said desert was on them and to have a Happy Anniversary! Wasn't that nice!! We shared a yummy cheesecake with raspberry and strawberry sauce. It was a perfect night!
I love you Brian Reed with all of my heart! I am so excited to see what this 5th year of marriage holds for us. You are my everything and I am so excited to spend eternity it you!
Now, I must say... Brian is the sweetest husband ever! For our anniversary, he was so creative! He had designed and had hand made these beautiful necklaces and earrings for me.
I opened this one first...
Once he told me he designed it and had it made.. my heart melted. He said it was the key to his heart. Ok ... that could be a line out of a movie... actually, it probably is.. I am such a romantic so this was right up my alley!
Then I opened the earrings... cute right!
Last, I opened this necklace... the second I saw Carter's name on one of the tags.. I started to cry. This necklace means so much to me... it has mine and Brian's initials and our wedding date... Carter has a little tag, and he put a blank tag on for when we have our second son... we can get his name put on it too.
I am in love with this. My heart is full. Thank you Brian so so much for always being so thoughtful and sweet. I love you to the moon and back!
This pillow was also part of my anniversary gift.. we always say "love you to the moon and back' so he said he couldn't pass it by. Love you Sweetheart!
Now for the rest of our anniversary weekend, we went to Invermere and Panorama with our friends and Brian's Family! We got there on Friday and went Boating with some friends... it was SO MUCH FUN.. thanks so much to Mark and Michelle ... they brought the boat! Carter seemed to enjoy it too! He even went tubing for the first time!!
Brian said he did good... he said that he would give out little chuckles.. but then they would hit a little bump and he would kinda want to cry... and then after a few seconds he was having fun again lol... not to bad for his first time! Way to go Carter! His buddy Lincoln was on the tube too with his daddy Andrew.. and Lincoln was GREAT! intact he was so brave when Carter got off he went again and again... what a brave little guy!
It was such a fun day at the lake... we spent the evening in Panorama with Andrew, Andrea and their two little ones ..

...we went out for desert with them and played in the warm pools with them and the rest of the family. Carter is such a water baby when the water is warm lol
Saturday was my Mother-in-laws Birthday and it was a wonderful day... while she was getting ready for the day.. the rest of us quickly put together a little surprise birthday party for her... it was 10 in the morning... so it wasn't expected by her but turned out great!

We were so excited to spend your birthday with you mom in Panorama! It was a great day.. we love you so so much and still think your a pretty fun, young and stylish mom!! Xxoxox Happy Birthday!!
