Happy 25th Birthday Sweetheart!

Where has the time gone! Honestly, I feel like so much has happened in the past two weeks ... its hard to keep caught up... but I am determined. 21 weeks in my pregnancy came and went.... quickly! Photobucket I am no longer taking ANY medication for nausea and I feel great! Although I am now starting to overheat... ALL THE TIME lol... thank heavens for cold showers on hot summer days! Although I was pregnant throughout the summer with Carter too... I NEVER felt like this.. it truly is no urban myth that pregnant women overheat! At 21 weeks baby was about 10.5 inches! Last weekend we celebrated Brian's 25th birthday! It was so much fun! And because Brian was lucky enough to be born on Canada Day, July 1st, he always gets a day off for his birthday! This year his birthday landed on a Sunday... Carter and I got up and made Daddy Breakfast in Bed! Photobucket Heart shaped waffles and homemade strawberry sauce was on the menu that morning, and it was delicious! Photobucket Carter thoroughly enjoyed helping Mommy make the waffles.... We didn't get as creative as homemade waffles.. but eggo waffles and a toaster was perfect for us! Photobucket Carter was right into it... taking out ALL the waffles.... Photobucket ...and trying to shove as many into the toaster as possible... a little disappointing for him I think when only two fit in at a time haha. Photobucket Sunday was also the day baby2 became 22 weeks! Crazy how fast this pregnancy is going for me. Photobucket At 22 weeks.. experts say that he is sleeping in cycles .. 12 to 14 hours during the day... I believe this because I usually am only feeling him at night.. and he is CRAZY at night! 22 weeks was good for me! We had a fun day out on Monday for some more birthday Celebration for Brian.. we met up with some friends and spent the afternoon at Riley Park. It was lovely! The weather was beautiful, the kids played, we had a picnic and just enjoyed the company of friends on a hot summer day! Because we were having a picnic and I knew there was a slim chance of being able to bake a nice cake for his birthday and bring it.. so I did what I love to do... find cute blogs.. get some fun ideas and create! So instead of a cake this year.. and to keep in the picnic theme, I decided to make some homemade hamburgers and fries... but sweet ones... I made the french fries out of sugar cookies... Photobucket And the hamburgers are just a cupcake cut in half with a brownie and icing for the condiments! Photobucket And there you have it! Photobucket I found the cute idea on Bakerella's blog and I remember a few years back my sister-in-law, Lena, made them once for Father's Day I think. They were a total hit! Riley Park was so fun.. Carter was NON-STOP as usual! We could hardly keep him in one area and really just ended up following him around .. in and out of the water... he was having the time of his life! Photobucket He explored EVERYTHING! Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket It really was a beautiful day, spent with good company! Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket After our picnic and once we had enough of chasing carter around.. we walked over to an open field where the kids could run wild... and I guess giving us parents water balloons made us all do the same thing! Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket Carter really enjoyed the water balloons too! He found one that had a tiny little hole in it and it kept him occupied for a while.. it was super cute! Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket I love getting to celebrate Brian's birthday with him each year! He is such an amazing Father and Husband and Carter, Baby and I are so lucky to have him! I am So grateful for his amazing parents that raised such an incredible man... I hope my boys turn out to be just like their Daddy! Happy 25th Birthday Sweetheart, I love you so much!
