A Little Update.

Well, 15 weeks was Mother's Day... Photobucket What a beautiful day it was. Wait Pause... Yes, I CHOPPED all my hair off... what a shame... it was a total impulse cut.. NEVER do that. EVER. I cried... a lot! Im trying to figure out how to "rock" short hair.. but I just can't do it... I look like a total boy... poor Brian lol.... the only good thing is that my hair feels SUPER healthy now and when you are pregnant your hair tends to grow really fast... so I'm banking on this ... Heres to never cutting my hair ever again! (Well at least for a few years!) Ok, moving on... So Mother's day was AMAZING this year! We woke up early and headed over to Mom & Dad Reed's house to Skype with Steven (Brian's Brother who is currently serving his mission for our church and is currently in Belgium!) It was SO fun to see/talk to him.. one of the highlights of our day for sure. Carter even blew Uncle Steven a few kisses... priceless! Photobucket Because Carter had this rash that was super itchy and "highly contagious" we decided not to go to church to infect everyone else little ones. It was nice to be able to see both our Mother's on this special day and truly I rejoiced in the role I have to be Carter's mother. It is the best feeling in the world. I am one lucky Mama! I loved spending my day with Carter... we played in the pool... in fact Brian even created a waterside for him... Photobucket And although he didn't have his swim trunks on .. he Loved it! The only sad thing about Mother's Day this year was that I took a TON of pictures of Carter and some with my mom too and when I went to download them onto our computer... they didn't download properly and I lost them all... it was so sad! 15 weeks with baby seemed to come and go quite quickly.. I still am sick... but I think maybe its not as bad... or at least a little more manageable. Don't get me wrong I still have some seriously awful days... but I think its starting to become a little less often which is such a blessing. During this week I ate an ENTIRE watermelon... actually I ate an entire watermelon in 3 days... I think I would say that was a craving... the two things I defiantly cannot eat are salad... I think its actually just the lettus.. when I eat it.. I am up for 4 hours each time in the middle of the night with the worst cramps and puking EVER! This is unfortunate because typically I LOVE salad!! The second thing... is hamburgers.. I don't know why.. they look good to me.. just my stomach/baby is not interested... again this is unfortunate because in the summer what is the most popular food... Hamburgers and Salad... this little jelly bean definitely is a winter baby lol. Now we are into 16 weeks! Photobucket Im finding it so much harder to dress maternity this time around. Because I am so nauseous, I cannot wear any maternity pants that have the belly band that stretches over your belly... and its a lot harder to find maternity pants that don't have that... thank heavens for my girlfriend Andrea who lent me some of her pants that are wonderful! Im going to order the same ones! 16 weeks has been pretty good so far, I have already eaten yet another watermelon but this time I shared half of it. On Monday, Bri and I took Carter to the Zoo! It was such a fun little adventure for us. We loaded him up in his wagon and off we went! Photobucket He really really likes his wagon! I think he feels less constricted than his stroller. He likes to just hang out and have a snack as he gets shuttled around the zoo.. haha.. I mean.. who wouldn't? Photobucket We got in line to see the penguins first... we waited about an hour .. maybe 45 minutes or so but it was definitely worth the wait.. and Carter was surprisingly pretty happy waiting in line for so long. He is really starting to understand what I mean when I try to take his picture and I go "Carter say... CHEESE!!!!!" lol Photobucket Photobucket His smiles always make my day! Photobucket oh goodness aren't these just the sweetest little things! I LOVE THEM!! Actually "obsessed" is probably a more realistic word to use. Photobucket Monday was the perfect day for the zoo.. it was 19 degrees and complete overcast so it was nice enough to just wear little sweaters but we didn't have to worry about hats or sunscreen! It was perfect! Carter found the most "boring" animals the most interesting for him... like these canadian geese.. Photobucket he wanted to touch them so badly but I was to paranoid to let him get to close. He also LOVED spending time at the little park in the zoo... Photobucket Photobucket I love how the simplest things make children so happy... they don't need anything really expect a free park and your time... ok and time to explore... Photobucket Carter also was completely in love with this little guy... Photobucket And to be honest.. I think this little guy really liked Carter too! the whole time we stood there... probably 10 minutes or so, he just passed back and forth in front of Carter .. back and forth... back and forth.. and sometimes he would stop and take a look face to face.. Photobucket He was pretty cute! This week, on Thursday actually, we have another baby doctor appointment... they are so fun for me.. although its just a checkup... I am so excited to hear our little Jelly Beans Heartbeat again! In a couple of weeks we get to find out if we are having a boy or a girl.. so many people ask me what I would prefer.. and here is my answer. I would LOVE to have another healthy baby!! It really doesn't matter to me if baby is a boy or a girl... we already have names picked out for both! Having another baby boy would be extremely convenient ... seeing as we already have SO MUCH baby boy stuff but having a girl would be such a fun experience too! I think Carter will be a great big brother to his new sister or brother and I know that either way... boy or girl.. we will love that baby for eternity! So there you have it.. we just would love to have another healthy baby :) Well, heres hoping the rest of week 16 is as puke free as it has been :)
