Movie Night with my Carter!
So last Night Brian was supposed to be home early but was asked to stay late to help with the move that his office is currently doing. I wasn't sure what Carter and I would do.... we were expecting Daddy to be home and we were going to go swimming but now our plans needed to be changed.
So, I thought.. maybe Carter and I would have a Movie night! So we jumped into the car and drove down to walmart. We got some popcorn kernels and I took Carter to the kids movie section to pick out a movie to buy. It was so cute.. he instantly laid eyes on the Thomas and Friends movie .. picked it off the shelf (luckily it was on the very bottom shelf so he could reach it).. gave it to me and said "beats.. beats.. beats!!" -Which is known as "please...please....please!!" in our home! (And it was only $5.00!! - Good pick Carter!)
We came home, I gave him a bath... put him in his jammies and starting to make the popcorn!
This was Carter's second time with Popcorn and he is addicted to it! He LOVES it!!
He really didn't mind the popcorn maker to much... he banged on it like a drum at first...
... until the corn started to POP.. then he was a little more distant!
Like Carter, I absolutely LOVE homemade popcorn.. and I haven't really made it in a while.. but after having it at Grandma Reeds house on Sunday.. I knew I just had to start making it again!
I mean who doesn't love the fresh popcorn smell, the crunch in your mouth with a little melted butter and a pinch of salt.
Once the popcorn was ready and the movie was in... Carter sat in his Cars chair and was basically in heaven!
And, if you know Carter you know that he DOESNT sit down... EVER! But he loved our movie night... he sat down.... snacked on his popcorn... and a little drink and watched the movie Thomas that he picked out. IT WAS ADORABLE!
It was such a fun night for me! It was so fun to see him sit and watch his show with his popcorn. Pure Bliss!
As for tonight! We had spaghetti.. and once again.. he was in heaven!
And no, that is not hair gel spiking his hair.. that is Carter rubbing his spaghetti sauce in it lol
And a noodle on his forehead lo
I love you Carter, you make mommy smile and laugh and your sweet little eyes get me every time. I cherish every moment I have with you. xoxo
