Carter's First Few Steps

We all woke up yesterday feeling pretty sick. Running noses and coughing. Brian and I started to get a bit better as the day went on.. but not really Carter. This poor little boy gets sick so often... catches EVERYTHING! Hopefully when he gets older he will have an amazing immune system seeing as he has had almost every cold out there!

Within the last couple of weeks Carter has been trying to get his confidence to let go of the couch and venture into the open room walking by himself. He has taken a few steps ... usually 3 or so and then starts crawling. But last night... despite his cold .. He was so Adventurous! Trying SO HARD to walk everywhere! It was so much fun for us. Brian's whole extended family was there too so Carter's GreatGrandma & GreatGrandpa Reed was able to witness Carter's first "real" steps! What a treat!

Now I must add .. Carter LOVES his Grandma & Grandpa Reed sooo much! Grandpa Reed is like his hero, and I guess before I came into the room Carter was taking around 8 steps or so over and over to his Grandpa. So Sweet!!

Thank goodness we had our camera with us and Brian quickly started filming!

He truly was walking on sunshine... or at least we were!!

I also "made" my little family take family pictures ... I know.. so sad since we were all sick... but I am addicted to photos and I needed ones for our Christmas Card and Carter's 1 Year picture!! And with brian working all day and school and sometimes work in the evenings ... its hard to find time! But we did it really quickly and they turned out not bad!!

I love you guys so much! I can't believe in less than a week my little boy will be One! We are planning such a fun celebration for him and can't wait to share it!
