11 Months & Halloween!

Wow, my little guy is 11 months! Feels weird, sounds weird... but is so much fun! I truly do miss the infant stage... in fact, I even miss waking up with him a few times a night to feed him and cuddle.... but 11 months is such a fun age! He is getting so good at walking along things and he will sometimes even let go and just stand there looking at me for few seconds. I think he is really trying to figure out how to walk but just isn't quite there yet. He is babbling like crazy.. and we LOVE IT! Little Carter sure has A LOT of stories to tell us everyday. I think his favourite word right now is "DADA" .... he is ALWAYS saying, screaming, yelling..... DADA lol.. it is so funny.

On Saturday I took him to get weighed... just for my own curiosity I guess. He weighs 22 pounds 5 ounces! Its so hard to believe he once was 8 pounds 2 ounces! But no matter how big he gets he will always be my baby!

I tested out his snowsuit the other day on a morning walk. It is FREEZING now in the mornings.... but this snowsuit sure kept him cozy. To be honest he wasn't really please with putting it on and I think he was a little confused, but as soon as I put him in the stroller.. he looked at me like "Ohhh I get it mom, OK!" and was totally happy the entire walk. Silly boy!

Now that he is 11 months, we have also started noticing how much hair he has gotten! It is WONDERFUL! When he was born he just had a tiny bit of "peach-fuzz".. in August we got him his first haircut and the woman who did it said that his hair would grow faster now... I think she was right!

I love how much hair he has finally! And I'm excited to get him a haircut again with a little more style!

Now, Carter's first halloween was so much fun! We had a great weekend which we spent with friends. Carter's best friend Logan came over during the week so that we could do a little Halloween photoshoot to celebrate their first halloweens!

Carter was the dragon and Logan was the Monkey! Oh goodness they were Adorable!

We bought Carter's halloween costume from Costco for $14.00! What an amazing deal.. and it was sooo warm. These poor little boys were so hot after their pictures that we had to let them crawl around in their diapers to cool off!

My sister and Brother-in-law and a few friends came over on Friday night for a little Halloween get-together. And of course since Carter was dressing up like a dragon...

Brian went as a Knight and I was a Princess!

We had a really good time hanging out and ... keeping it traditional, carving pumpkins!

Its always so fun getting together with friends. We are so blessed to have such great friends!

Brian wanted to do something very original for our pumpkin...

...so he decided to make a disco ball!

It wasn't very scary.. but seriously cool! lol I loved it! Very original Brian.. Good job! And here is our competition! Creeeppy!

Monday night came fast and before we knew it Carter and I were heading out to trick-or-treat at his Grandma & Grandpa Reed's house!

It was so Fun... Grandma Reed gave Carter an Aero Bar (for Daddy) a Kit-Kat bar (for mommy) and a Banana & Fruit Bar (for Carter!).. and she also put a super fun pumpkin flashlight in his bag.. which he ADORED playing with in the car once it was dark outside! Carter was sooo excited to see Grandpa Reed when he got home from work.. he went straight up those stairs to say hi!

Next stop.. was Carter's second set of grandparents! Grandma & Grandpa filled his little treat bag with a Coffee Crisp and Kit-Kat (for mommy & daddy) and a handful of Baby Mum-Mum's for Carter! How exciting!

Because we wanted to finish off our "trick-or-treating" at Southgate (where Brian was working) we had some time to kill. So we went around to the neighbours house with Carter's little cousin Annabella.. she was the cutest little bunny!

We met up with Mark & Kyla & Little Monkey Logan for a little bit and after that Carter needed a break. It was past bedtime (which is usually 7:30ish) but he needed to stay up to be able to pick up Brian from work at 9 (we only have one car). So we went back to grandma's house for a "Cheer-me-up" Snack.... It worked!!

After his snack we quickly gave him a nice hot bath to warm up his little body and before we knew it, it was time to go and get Daddy!

Daddy was so happy to see his little Dragon on Halloween!

And Carter was so excited to explore the dealership!

He obviously loves cars... just like his Daddy!

Carter did so good for his first halloween...

... and being up way past bedtime! He was so tired, and about 30 seconds into our 5 minute drive home... he fell asleep... with his flashlight that Grandma Reed gave him.
