The Metropolis of Virden Manitoba!

Well, although the calendar says we are going into fall..... it still sure is beautiful like summer outside... and we are L.O.V.I.N.G it!

On August 25th, Carter had his 9 month check-up! A good one this time... no shots! I cannot believe he is already 9 months old! How time flies. Here are his stats! 21 pounds... 29 1/2 inches and a big 19 inch head... no joke.. he does have a little bit bigger head.. but thats because he has such good brains! lol I love my boys!!!

We have had such a busy summer and to finish it off Brian, Carter and I along with my parents went to Virden, MB for the long weekend. My sister was getting married! We left on Thursday morning ... but not before Carter got a little bit of playing time... of course...

...and drove to Regina where we stayed overnight at the amazing Travel Lodge.. now, this is no joke.. it was honestly AMAZING! It had the worlds best waterside for a little hotel! It was HUGE and went SO FAST! We had a blast! On friday morning we got up and got back on the road just a few more hours until Virden. When we first got there, my dad took us to see Grandpa Weldon. He passed away when I was 12 and I hadn't gone back since... it was nice to just go and say Hi.

It was cool to see my Dad take a moment and say Hi to his dad. It really was a special moment for us. Love you Grandpa Weldon!

Shamefully, I admit that I am SUCH a city girl. So the tiny town of Virden is extremely different than what I am used to.... and you could say that I am a "bit" spoiled by the luxuries of a city. But we really did enjoy ourselves while we visited family. One particular visit we enjoyed was at my Uncle Ken and Diane's house... were Carter was able to get on his very first Tractor!

He wasn't quite sure what to make of this one...

But this one he L.O.V.E.D lol... probably because he was in control.

We had a great time visiting for the day, but next was the big event! That same evening my sister Courtnie and her love Mark were having an evening wedding! So we went back to the hotel to get ready. Carter and his Grandpa Gardiner were looking so handsome!

And seriously no one is as handsome as Brian.... well at least he will always have my vote for best looking!! (xoxo)

The wedding was very nice. Small and Romantic. They exchanged rings and their vowes along side of there two adorable children.. and my amazing niece and nephew... Raeann..

..and Ethan!

I'm so happy for the both of you...

It was a wonderful evening full of lots of fun and Love! I'm so glad we were able to share it with you both.

The reception was fun too. We danced the night away!

Even Carter got right into the music while we danced!

And despite the super loud music.. Carter danced himself to sleep... Z.Z.Z.z.z.z.Z.z.z.Z.z.

Carter was so good on this trip... aside from having a blow out of his diaper EVERYDAY at the worst times possible.. (good that you can get anywhere in Virden in 3 minutes so we were never to far from the hotel... bath... and new change of clothes!!)
