A Day with my B.F.F!
On August 17th, Brian and I celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary. It seems crazy to me... it really truly feels like I have only been married to him for a year.. maybe. Every year that we spend together gets better and better... I am honest when I say that I am so glad that I get to spend eternity with Brian, he is my light and I couldn't imagine what life would be like without him.
This anniversay was a little different than our past 3 anniversarys. This time, we had a beautiful little boy to share it with! My mom offered to watch Carter so we could go out for dinner and a movie for our special day but this time we declined. I was really excited to spend it with Carter. Besides, Carter goes to bed by 7:30 every night so we still got to spend the rest of the evening together watching our wedding video and reminising about what life has brought us in the past 4 years.
To start off the evening... we enjoyed a simple candlelit dinner...
On the menu.. a delicious.. Roast Beef dinner complete with mash potatoes, gravy and corn!
Carter included of course!
For desert, I had made homemade Oreo cookie cheesecake... which turned out much better than I thought it would... it tasted just like an Oreo blizzard from Dairy Queen.. it was so yummy... yep.. drool away lol
It was a relaxing and perfect way to spend our anniversary. I love you Brian Reed!
On a completely random note... there has been this dandelion in my front garden for a little while now. If you don't know... Brian and I live in a townhouse.. which is run by a condo board so... unfortunately, we pay condo fees... which are completely ridiculous! Our condo fees include... the maintenance of the "outside" of our house.. like grass... (which they are not bad at cutting).. shoveling the snow (which they are HORRIBLE at) and a few other tiny minor things.. however apparently our front garden is not "outside" of our house... because they never take care of it.. including weeding. Now, don't get me wrong.. I don't mind doing it myself.. in fact I actually kind of like it.. but when you are paying so much money toward condo fees... really... they should do it. So we wanted to see just how "out-of-hand-" this poor dandelion could get.. and the result....
Yes, unbelievable! It was H.U.G.E... it came up to my chin... and finally i pulled it out... it was a little embarrassing!
On a completely different note, Carter is one lucky baby! He has this amazing BFF named .. Logan! Logan is 5 months younger than Carter but Logan's Mom, Kyla, is my BFF so.. naturally... Logan and Carter will be (forced) BFFs too!! Yesterday, I had the opportunity to watch little Logan.. and it was SO FUN!
Carter waited patiently for Logan to arrive...
He was having such a fun day already and it was only going to get better!!
Carter wasn't sure at first how to "share" toys...
But after an hour he caught on lol.. a little...
Logan loved playing with this little jungle mat! When I rolled him onto his tummy he was so happy... he looked in that mirror NON STOP! He loved it lol.. he was so cute!
Logan is such a little sweetheart! He is so happy and he was so good.. not one little peep... unless it was a laugh that melted my heart!
One of my favorite qualities of little Logan is that he LOVES to cuddle!! Which is so nice because my baby boy hates cuddling! So when Carter went down for a nap.. I took every chance I could and I cuddled little Logan... I sang to him while I held him in my arms and although I am totally tone-deaf he didn't seem to mind. It was so peaceful and relaxing.. for both of us apparently...
Im pretty sure Carter still fit in this little bed thing when he was 4 months.. Logan is such a tall baby.. and as you can see... he didn't really fit.. but he was sleeping and as every mother knows.. you NEVER wake a sleeping baby ... so I left him for a little bit!
Once both boys woke up.. they were feeling refreshed and ready to play!
It was hard getting both of them to smile at the same time lol.. so one at a time it was!
Soon enough Logan's Daddy, Mark, came to pick him up and we said goodbye.. it was such a fun couple of hours! Thanks for letting me watch him guys!!
He is welcome to come over and play whenever you want!!
