I would C.R.A.W.L to the B.E.A.C.H if I could!

What an exciting week we have had in our little Reed home! On Sunday June 26th (just one day shy of 7 months old) Carter started army crawling! It is sooo fun to watch him grow and learn to become a little more independent and as first time parents who LOVE photography and videography of course we had our camera standing by! We thought we would share with you one of the most exciting times in our life! Carter learning to crawl.

Once he gets going.. he can really go! Now its our job to make sure we don't have the laptop, cords or any other "cool" electronics around.. even though the laptop is how we "taught" him to army crawl. He is getting better and better each day and it will only be days before he in full on crawling! The sad thing.... his poor little knees are totally rashed and have a mild case of rug-burn.

Aside from learning to become a little more mobile, on Tuesday June 28th (just one day past 7 months old) we noticed Carter had broke through 2 more teeth.. this time they look like his top two fang teeth.... hopefully he gets his top middle teeth soon.. but for now.. without his top two teeth, his bottom two teeth have VIP parking until they come in!

Carter and I are LOVING this weather... finally.. it feels like summer is here to stick around for a little while. We have been enjoying walks, letting the house become a disaster, the laundry pile up and heading out to the beach. My sister Amanda and I took Carter to the beach for the first time yesterday. HE ADORED IT! I must admit, I didn't have complete faith that he would be OK spending the day in the sun but he definitely had a great time... didn't even begin to fus! What a good boy! When we first got there Carter had fallen asleep in his car-seat so we stuck it in the stroller and parked him in the shade under a tree..

And while Amanda and I set up our stuff for the beach.. Carter had a quick "cat-nap". We had so much fun and it made my sister and I reminise about the times when we were little and our mom used to come home from work at 5pm and we would all jump right into the car and spend the evening at the beach almost everyday in the summer. Its what we lived for!

Incase you are just finding out... my sister Amanda is Pregnant! She is 3 months along now and her little baby is the size of a LEMON! So, of course I had to take a couple snap shots of that beautiful lemon!

She is much luckier than I was with pregnancy... she was only sick for the typical first trimester and now she is not sick anymore... LUCKY... but she does get headaches and is really tired.. but who wouldn't be when your cookin' a muffin inside of you!??

Amanda and Carter and I had a nice time, we sat on the blanket while Amanda and I chatted about life and Carter completely ignored us and played with anything he could...

I tried to put him in his swim trunks... but as soon as that diaper was off... he was on the move!

Once I was able to get his swim trunks on and doubled up on the sunscreen..

we placed him in a pocket of cooler sand that auntie amanda "made" for him and let him "explore".

He LOVED it!

He kept picking the sand up in his hands.. looking at it.. trying to figure out what it was. He would squish it between his little fingers, drop it and then pick up a handfull more. Like this...

We had to put his souther in his mouth for fear the sand would go in there... considering everything goes in his mouth these days!

Carter played in the sand for about 20 minutes before Amanda and I started to roast from the heat... and since Carter was a complete disaster (they way kids should be when they are playing in the sand!!)....

...we thought we would try to take him into the lake and see what he thinks...

He Loved being out "in" the water when he wasn't touching it.. but as soon as I put his feet in the water... this is what we got....

SAD! It was pretty chillie water so it felt nothing like a bath tub or a pool... just a little bit to cold for his liking.. but as soon as I took him out and held him.. he was happy again!

I loved this past week. It was so much fun watching Carter crawl, get some new teeth and play at the beach. Our lives would not be the same without him. I love you Carter Reed!
