I am SIX Months!
The past 6 months have been the best 6 months of my entire life. I am completely in love with Bri and am so proud of him for being such an incredible father to our little Carter. Carter has brought Brian and I the most happiness you could ever imagine. A simple smile can melt our hearts and I cannot imagine one day without him now. I absolutely LOVE picking him up out of his crib in the morning when his hair is crazy, he has sleep lines on his face from his blankie and is so happy. Aside from picking him up first thing in the morning, I also LOVE putting him to bed at night... this is the ONLY time in the day that he will cuddle with me for 10 minutes (he is NOT a cuddly baby at all!). I LOVE when we cuddle how his little hand grabs my shirt and he rests his head and tummy on my chest... this is my favorite part of my entire day... Poor Brian NEVER gets to cuddle lol because I never want to give up even one night of this.
Having Carter has brought so much more meaning into our lives. A new kind of Love. Our life is centered around him. I think I was meant to be a mother in life, I adore it.
I cannot believe my baby is already 6 months old. That went incredibly fast and although i was warned "enjoy this time because they grow up so fast"... nothing can warn you for how fast 6 months has actually gone. To fast I might add. But i know the next 6 months will probably go even faster so we are cherishing everyday with him!
I decided that I wanted to do a "six months photoshoot" with Carter and why not? The weather was beautiful and he was such a good sport although he was so distracted by the "props" that he wasn't into smiling lots... more just concentrating and completely ignoring me lol. Here are my favorites (sorry it's picture overload!)
Carter had his 6 month check-up on May 31st along with one shot.. which would have been ok if our nurse was more gentle. Carter now weighs 17 lbs 12 oz and is 25 & 3/4 inches tall. He is growing so big!
We are so blessed to have you Carter. You make Mommy and Daddy's world go around. Love you Baby Boy!
For Carter's 6 month birthday, we decided to make a little treat! Baby Boy Rice Crispies!
Carter helped me pick out the cookie cutters...
We made them into really fun little shapes....
And made the rest into little balls.. I have never made them into balls before but they fun and I think I'll do it more often!
Then we iced the shapes and made a COMPLETE mess of it!
Sure doing this with a 6 month old was a handful in trying to keep him entertained without putting the ingredients in his mouth.. but we had fun and Im glad we have this memory!
Carter is growing up so fast and is much to independent for a 6 month old! He LOVES sitting by himself without being held onto.
He is trying his best to crawl but hasn't quite figured it out just yet..
...he is getting close though!
And I can only imagine the things he will get into when he can crawl. He is such a curious little guy wanting to get into EVERYTHING already!
And although Bri and I will deal with Carter getting his independence through Crawling I think George is a little nervous about it!
Poor George.. whenever Carter is sitting or trying to crawl, George just sits and guards his food dish. My mom gave the idea that I will have to put his dish up when he is not eating and I think I might have to so George can relax again during the day. lol.
This is our life... never to many dull days!
