A Year Ago Today....

Yes, one year ago today (April 11.2010) Bri and I found out the most incredible news, the greatest blessing and our dream came true... we were expecting.. and soon enough our little Carter would be in our arms for forever. We fell in love.

I reminisced about the feelings I felt one year ago today and felt excited. I remember thinking...

HOLY COW... I'm PREGNANT!!!!!! We had been trying for 7 months and finally ... our dream came true! Little Carter was on his way. I remember trying not to get to excited in the first 12 weeks.. but that was impossible... we were ecstatic and ready to welcome a new little baby into our family. I instantly thought of baby names.... "Carter" "Noah" "Parker"... or "Ella" if it was going to be a girl... little did we know a little boy was on his way and we could not be more excited.. especially Brian.... he always said he didn't care what we had but when the nurse told us we were having a boy, Brian's face lit up and got teary-eyed.. I knew his wish came true.

Now, one year later.. our little Carter is just over 4 months and is such a joy. He is so full of light and love and is always smiling (well.. most of the time!) and we LOVE to make him laugh...

This is what life is all about... I can't even imagine life without you Carter... you made Mommy and Daddy's dream come true. You are such a wonderful little boy and Mommy would not trade you for anything in this world! I love waking up to see your smiling face every morning and kissing you goodnight everyday. I love your button nose.. your chubby cheeks ... those adorable little piglet toes and lets not forget that amazing little belly button. You are prefect Carter. I love you so much.

Really.. who could not love this little bundle of joy....
