There's a first time for everything.. even Swimming!

I woke up on Monday morning, April 4th, so excited. I am excited for all of Carter's "firsts" ... his first complete roll-over, his first crawl, first solid food, first steps but I was so excited for this day... Carters first time S.W.I.M.M.I.N.G! He seemed to like his swim trunks...

His first steps into the water were good! We took him to the "kiddy-pool" where it was nice and warm to start. It really didn't seam to phase him to much...

He was really distracted by the cute little waterfall...

And really seemed quite relaxed when we put the waterfall on his back...

Brian took Carter on his very first kid waterslide! I know what your thinking... "WHAT?! He is only 4 months!!" But it was a good expieiance too.. i wouldn't say Carter loved it.. or even really really liked it.. but he didn't seem to mind it much. We let the waves curl over his toes and we would fill up the little pink bucket and poor out the water infront of Carter while he tried his best to grab the running water. We had an awesome time and I cannot wait to go back!

On Tuesday, we took Carter out to dinner with us to the Cattle Baron for the first time.. and despite that it was close to bedtime (which is typically a fussy time of the day for Carter) he did SO good! At first we were really nurvous that we were going to be the parents with a screaming/crying baby in a nice and quiet resturant as they put us him a corner with a whole bunch of "older" couples with no children and all very "business-like" people... we looked at eachother and grined... Carter was an angel this night! They put a little high-chaire out for us and Carter loved to look at the shades...

He helped me pick out what I should have from the menu... we decided on chicken stir-fry.. Carter's favourite when I was pregnant with him... well once I got over the "I cannot even look at chicken or I will puke" part of my pregnancy!

Dinner with our little guy was so fun! I think we will do it more often!

And to top off the dinner expiriance, Crystal (Ausmus) was our server... she is amazing and so much fun! We could not have asked for a better server! Thanks Crystal!

While Bri and I ate, Carter sat in the highchair and played with his toys and sucked on his seuss...

It was a great dinner... and nice to get out with both my boys.

I have been working really hard with Carter during the day to get him to take one morning nap and one afternoon nap and until last week it was not going well.. his morning nap consisted on a 10 minute shut eye and then up for 3 hours then a 20 minute afternoon shut eye and up till bed time.. that does not always make for a happy baby and we all know a happy baby means a happy mommy.. so I was consistant and voila.. three weeks later (lol) Carter is finally taking an hour and a half nap in the morning and and hour nap in the afternoon. W.O.N.D.E.R.F.U.L! The other day, it was close to 11:00am and I was not quite on the ball with the feeding and putting his down for a nap.. so... I found him like this... he jumped himself to sleep. ZzzzZZzzz...
