Carter's 1st E.A.S.T.E.R!

This weekend has been super busy and really exciting too as we celebrated Carter's 1st Easter. Carter and I started off all of the Easter adventures on Thursday before Bri got home from work. We made him a little Surprise!

The hat says it all...

Carter loved being in the sun.. just hanging out! Finally, we were able to get some fresh air without bundling up as though we live in the arctic! Im beginning to think that Spring might finally be here... however I do realize that with living in Calgary... spring.. fall or winter could come and go at any point. Anyway, once we were finnished the "surprise" we went in the house to start making dinner before we had to go pick up bri from work. Carter didn't last to long... ZzzzzZZz...

I was surprised he fell asleep in his Bumbo chair... it really didn't look to comfortable.

But, he wasn't going to be sleeping for long because soon enough Brian was home and he was so happy to see Carter's little easter sign for daddy! Carter loves Brian so so much. Whenever I say "Carter.. wheres Daddy!?" He looks right at Brian and gives him a H.U.G.E Smile. Precious.

However the surprises didn't end there... Carter surprised his Daddy with yet another Hilarious Surprise! In our house... we call this a "Blow-Out"!!

Brian even held the biohazard bag.. very impressive and a big step forward! (lol) Probably one of Brian's least favorite things.. and although he was gagging and holding his breath the entire time.. he stayed and helped me get it off of Carter's back arms and legs! Thanks Babe!

Friday was an awesome day! We did some shopping... played in the sun...

And then dinner and games night with friends and Carter was so good! We took him with us and he was great. We even did his bedtime routine at Andrew and Andrea's house and he went right to sleep! He did wake up a few times... but thats expected and we are proud of him! I love how taking Carter with us is never a burden and that we didn't stop doing the things we used to do before we had Carter... just now there are 3 of us instead of 2 and it is Wonderful!

Although this was a long weekend for most people, Brian had to work on Saturday which was.. well... S.A.D... but so did my sister's husband so Amanda and I did what we should do more often... got pedicures!

And yes, this was Carter's first "pedicure"... and even though he didn't actually get a pedicure... I do believe boys still need to take care of their toes too!

He enjoyed being passed back and forth between his Mommy and Auntie and looking at magazines and toys.

And the end result?! R.E.A.L.L.Y F.U.N!

Now for the news I have been DYING to share for the past few days! I would like you to meet Logan Samual Magowan Gibson...

Logan was born on April 21, 2011.. weighing in at 9 pounds 3 ounces (yes, his mother is amazing.. I thought 8 lbs 2 oz was bad). He is Beautiful.. seriously.. look at all the hair!

You see, Logan's mom (Kyla) is my best friend! And how perfect that we both had two little boys only 5 months apart! We are blessed! I am so excited to watch little Logan and Carter grow up together ... and apparently Carter feels the same way!

Congratulations Mark and Kyla! Logan is so handsome and such a perfect little miracle! You guys make some pretty cute babies! Kyla I am so excited to see you AND LOGAN (now that he is finally here) every week... daily walks... park dates and everything in-between! Love you lady!

Although meeting baby Logan was one of the highlights of our weekend.. it did not end there... we enjoyed a delicious Easter dinner with my sister and brother-in-law since both my parents and Brian's parents were out of town. Amanda and I made a killer prime rib with some mashed potatoes, corn and Au Jus on the side. It was awesome! And Carter.. well he tried to make it through dinner...

but I guess he needed a quick nap....

I love the Easter season so much. It reminds me of the savior.. how he atoned for all of our sins, how he walked a mile in my shoes and always knows what I am going through in my life. I love that Brian and I now have a son to share the Easter season with.

I love the spirit that comes along with Easter and spending time with my little family.

Sure, sometimes life can get hard... the baby will be awake all night... or crying.. or worse... have "blow-outs" (brian!) but I try to remember... it could always be worse and I am never alone.

Carter is growing so fast and I never want to miss a beat. Im blessed to be your Mommy Carter.

I love my son and my husband so much that words cannot explain it. These two boys are my Life. I love you!
