Living the white picket fence Life? Y.E.S. Today was especially fun. Brian had the day off of work, so we were going to go to Banff but the weather seemed a little to cold for us to be out walking around with Carter... so we stayed in town and did what we love to do most.... Pictures!

Having a new baby is amazing, but it also means it's not just... well... two of us anymore.. now there is three of us but I still try to grab as many X's and O's as I can from the love of my life!

We decided to take Carter to our very favorite spot in Calgary, ontop of the hill where you can see the entire city and mountains. It's perfect for a little city family with a lot of love for the mountains. I. Love. Calgary.

As for our little munchkin... He was in the nice warm car right beside us fast asleep...

We love taking pictures around the city. I cannot wait until Carter is old enough to do photo-shoots with us around town. Oh boy are we ever gonna have a good time! It is also one of my very favorite things to do with Brian. Here are the benefits.... it costs nothing, you are together with your little baby all day.. you get to "site-see" and at the end of the day no matter what you will never forget what an incredible time you had because you have pictures to prove it!

I love when Brian gets days off from the rotation at his work...

...and apparently Brian loves it too....

So, we were out for most of the afternoon... livin' like kids on a picture scavenger hunt.. it was a fun afternoon... Carter had an amazing 3 hour nap in the car and was quite happy when we got home.

However.. the day made a quick U-turn as we knew that it would. Today was the day for Carter's 2 month shots. He was so brave when we got there.

The sweet nurse named "Katie" measured his length.... 23 inches..... his weight..... 11 pounds 10 ounces.... and his head circumference... 41.5cm. But then the scary part. The needles. Our poor little man was not impressed... but he was brave and did good. He got 3 needles. Two in one thigh and one in the other. He really showed us what good lungs he has when he screamed but only for a few minutes and then he was ok. I am glad it's over.

Did you know that on average apparently a 9 week old baby (Carter's age) cries for approximately 2 and 1/2 hours in total per day...

I think we come close to that fact.

As the day comes to an end Carter and Daddy enjoyed some cuddles...

These boys are my life... and i am glad I get to spend all eternity with them. When I was a little girl i used to dream of my prince charming and all of my children. I am living my dream.
