Finally a Post.

Well these past two weeks have been full of opposites! Fun and sickness, cookies and diet, lazy and exercising and baby showers!

First things first.... Carter Update! Our little Jelly bean had his 12 week doctors appointment on Tuesday February 15th and he is a growing little boy! He weighs 12 lbs 4 oz. and is 24 inches long now and a little round head of 16 inches! Funny, Carter and George weigh the exact same right now...

It is kinda sad how fast Carter is growing... but we are so happy that he is healthy... we are blessed! We celebrated Carter's first valentines a few days early this year by making fun cookies...

First we cut them....

Placed them on the cookie sheet....

Carter enjoyed a short nap on the couch while the cookies baked ....

Then they were ready to cool...

And finally ice. I love you Carter.

Now that I am a mom, I have learned to do the things with one hand that I used to do with two. Baking cookies included... but I must admit Carter is a "hip" baby. Yes thats right... he LOVES when I walk around with him on my hip... my left hip to be exact. It really is carma because I apparently did the same to my mom. But when you really do need two hands that is when this amazing invention comes in handy...

Yes the snuggly. It is amazing.

It was good that we celebrated Valentines a few days early because my poor little munchkin got his very first head cold. S.O S.A.D! His little nose was so stuffy and he still has a little cough that is right in his chest. We talked to our doctor and he said not to worry about it, that is was bound to happen sooner or later and that Carter is just "boosting" his immune system. It did give me a piece of mind but it still breaks my heart. I think he got it because I swear I think he is starting to teethe. He is drooling and blowing bubbles and is constantly putting his fist in his mouth and chopping down on them. Dr. Barr said it is probably the beginning of an early teether.

On to other news.... Finally we finished Carter's room! I have had such a hard time trying to figure out what to put on Carter's walls. I did not want to settle on a few pictures that I only thought would be cute but not perfect... but Bri and I F.I.N.A.L.L.Y finished the wall....

Here is the B.E.F.OR.E....

And now A.F.T.E.R...

Brian is really the master of the wall lol... I played with Carter for most of it... it was wonderful!

Lastly, have you ever started a diet or workout plan and never finished it? I have. In fact, i do it lots, but this time is going to be different. I made a few key steps to completing my goal. First...."post-baby-complete-humiliation".... no sucking in aloud. I took a few pictures (sorry i am to embarrassed to show it lol) but yes puke lol... Honestly I didn't think it was that bad until I saw these pictures lol... you should try it.

Second... here are the numbers.. on February 14th (my start date) i weighed in at 134.2 lbs... my goal.. 123 lbs. Because I am still nursing Carter, I plan on still eating everything as usual.. well almost. Cut the chocolate.. which apparently is a serious addition for me. Also to make more wise healthy eating decisions... like brown instead of white, yogurt instead of ice cream and fruit as a snack instead of fruit snacks and granola bars.

Third, I not only want to loose a few pounds but I want to get that "bikini body" ready for our summer holidays. I have a lot of toning to do but I am determined to get rid of those post baby chicken wings and make myself (and my wonderful husband) proud!

Fourth... I wont be able to give up because each time I blog I will stick an update in here so again it will be a constant reminder to keep going!

Fifth... an E.N.D date. May 8th, 2011. Mother's day. A gift to the new mommy! Perfect!

I have my mom and my sister on board too. I am excited to look amazing in a new dress for mothers day and a new bathing suit for vacation! It's not too late to start if you want to do it with us!

For my first week weigh in.. I am at 130.8. On to a good start, hopefully I can Keep it going.
