Where has the time gone!?...
WOW... it has been much to long since my last post.... it now takes me much longer to sit down and write a little post as my little man keeps me on my toes. We had a very fun, exciting and Exhausting Christmas! Here is how it all went.
Christmas morning was special. It was Carter's Christmas and we were excited. Carter got completely spoiled. And the funny thing about it... he slept completely through Christmas morning.
I was in charge of making homemade buns for both my parent's Christmas dinner and Brian's Grandmother's Christmas Dinner... I made just about 4 dozen and they turned out pretty good... although I was a little intimidated because these are "Grandma Reed's famous buns" so attempting to make them just like her is a little scary. All-in-all my kitchen became a mess and the buns turned out good.... phewff!
I also volunteered to make these cute Candy Cane Place settings...
Although they are adorable, I cannot take credit for these. I saw them on another blog (http://momoutnumbered.blogspot.com/).. and loved them so much I thought I would give it a try.
December 18th was Brian's work Christmas Party.. it was really fun, he works with a great bunch!
We took Carter with us (obviously) and as a 3 week old baby... he was A.M.A.Z.I.N.G! Not one peep, he just slept, ate, pooped and enjoyed looking around at all the lights and hanging out with his both sets of grandparents (as both my mom and Brian's dad work at Southgate too!)
December 19th was the children's Christmas Party at Brian's work. It was cute. I was most excited for Carter to meet Santa for the first time.
Carter was so good this year... well since he was born that Santa gave him a mobile that lights up in his crib and you can record mom and dad's voice on it for him. Thanks Santa! Once the party was over.. Carter was tired. We had a very busy weekend.
We spent Christmas Eve at (Great) Grandma Reed's house. It was so fun. Brian's family has a tradition to play out the nativity on Christmas Eve each year, so all the cousins got dressed up and Mom Reed was our narrator.... Brian and I were Mary and Joseph and Carter was Baby Jesus. So cute!
Carter did so good... he didn't even cry, he already is such a little actor and played the part perfectly! Now getting off subject a little.... Grandma Reed is my Storage H.E.R.O! Look at this....
A.M.A.Z.I.N.G Right!? Canning out of this world. I love It. When I grow up.. I want to be like her! You are amazing Grandma Reed!
As much as I love Christmas I am glad that it is over, it was busy. I am now looking forward to the new year. To Carter smiling at me for the first time.. without gas! He is my angel and I know he was sent to our little family from heaven. Carter is almost 5 weeks now. Boy the time flies! He enjoyed his first bubble bath the other week....
I am glad that bath time is not so traumatic anymore. Have you ever loved something so much that when you see it grind your teeth? ( I know my sister Amanda knows what I am talking about) Well this is what happeneds sometimes when I cuddle with Carter... I did it so bad that I chipped a small piece off! Shoot! He is just so perfect I can't help it!
Well here is to 2010, this year has been an exciting one and brought us the best blessing in our lives. Carter. We enjoyed holidays in BC and watching my brother marry Sara and my sister marry Logan. Our family is growing fast. We are excited to see what 2011 brings to our little family and are excited to ring in the new year tonight with our little boy. We love you sooo much Carter! XoXo
