2 Weeks 2 Go.
Well it has been a week since I've been home, keeping busy and trying not to force baby Reed out but doing some serious research on naturally inducing him (if there is a difference lol). But I guess our Jelly Bean is not ready yet. I've still been having "false Labour" and sometimes the contractions hurt so bad for just a few seconds that it makes me jump... OUCH! At least the real thing will result in a perfect little boy, I am excited.
Because I am still sick and puking..... I have found myself trying a few good tricks to try to "encourage" Baby Reed.... and I admit I will not try anything.... including castor oil.... I have not heard anything very pleasant about it. However I have been trying the following.... walking, vacuuming, shoveling the driveway (since our condo board seriously never does it... i "love" our condo board), acupressure, Reiki, and Raspberry Leaf Tea. I know that just trying something once won't do the trick but maybe trying things a few times will help.
At our last doctors appointment last week, the doctor said that his head it right were it needs to be and so long as he does not shift himself in the last 2 weeks, baby will not be breach... this made us happy! So we decided to finally pack our bags.
First was Baby Reed's bag... and lets not forget the thank you favors for the nurses and doctors that help us bring our special little boy into this world.
Then it was my bag and the camera bag...
We have been so blessed in our pregnancy so far, aside from the heartburn and puking we really have had no complications, no additional ultrasounds and really no real concerns. Count your blessings. I have gained a whopping 30.5 lbs (scary.. but average) and I now look like I have an oversized basketball tucked under my shirt. My clothes are getting tighter and I am walking like a penguin but we really just have two more weeks to go..... so long as Baby is not late! My doctor said that they will induce me on December 16th if he is still not here... he better come before then though!
As for staying at home, I am doing my best to keep active but get some rest too... I put out our Christmas decorations the other day and surprised Brian... but I kept the star for him to put at the top of the tree when he got home, he smiled.
As Christmas is only 33 more sleeps.. why wait, Im sure I will be plenty busy with our little guy and so.. bring on the Christmas decor...
Silent Night... Holy Night...
All is calm... all is bright...
Round yon Virgin Mother and Child...
Holy infant so tender and mild...
Sleep in heavenly peace...
Sleep in heavenly peace....
I am excited to have baby Reed celebrate his first "Noel" with us. Love you Baby Reed.
