Six Weeks to go...

Well, it has been much to long since the last post.. sorry. I don't get it, time is FLYING! Everyone says it should be going slow these days. Not. True. But thats ok because each week is one week closer to meeting our Jelly Bean!

So here is goes .. a much needed update on the little Reed Family.

Yes, my mom and my sister held a beautiful baby shower for Baby and I. It was beautiful, perfect, and I would not have changed a thing. Thanks Mom. Thanks Manda. Love you guys!

At the Shower we were completely spoiled. We got everything we needed and then some! So many friends and family were there to celebrate this new chapter in our lives. We are grateful to live so close to both of our parents (soon to be Grandparents) it truly is a blessing and we really are lucky to have such wonderful parents!

My mom is really quite creative. The Diaper Cake she made was beautiful, she even bought a baby boy cake topper..

And his cake was decorated with lots of fun things for Baby Reed.

And of course, she decorated her house...

From banners to balloons...

To lanterns and pictures of her little grandson...

Yes, mom had it all. The food was amazing, she even had one of my favorite dips (Shrimp dip) and one of Brian's Favorite (Mexican).. and well... Baby Reed apparently loves them both because I sure had enough for the both of us.

I think the biggest "hit" of the food table though was her (now famous) fruit salad baby carriage. Good job mom, this looked incredible and tasted even Better!

We enjoyed punch and lemons (extremely refreshing for a 8 month pregnant lady!)

My Mom even made cute little cupcakes...

There were so many other yummy treats that she took time to do and Mom Reed even brought an amazing cheese-ball.. everyone should have that recipe! And We could not thank everyone enough for all of your love and support. The Baby shower was exactly what we wished for.. but better!

Now for a Baby Update.
I am Tired. Sore. Uncomfortable. and honestly counting down the weeks! We are 34 Weeks now. (6 Weeks to go!) Can you believe Baby is the size of a Cantaloupe!

He is growing fast and I am running out of belly room for him. It sometimes scares me, lately I have been feeling lots of pressure.. like Baby is moving down ready to come out! I am not sure if he really will be a December 5th Baby... He seems like he could be coming sooner than that! But I know he will let us know when he is ready. As for the sickness... it's better, not completely but a little better at least... so long as I carry my personal pharmacy with me I am usually ok.

I am not usually a "pill popper" but when you have been sick for 8 months straight.. you tend to give in and try Whatever will help! Baby Reed has also been kicking and sticking his little bum inside my ribs and it is so painful! However not everything about this time in pregnancy is bad... now when I feel our Jelly Bean kick on my side, you can see his little heal sticking out, it is so cute! And Baby Reed usually gets the hiccups twice a day or so. Our doctor said this is healthy, so we are glad.

We are finally done his nursery and feel like we have everything we need. From clothes to swings, a basinet and a diaper gene, we are as prepared as brand new parents can be. I am sure once he is here we will realize that we are probably missing a few things but for right now it is a wonderful piece of mind that "we are ready". Here is a little tour of our dream Nursery.

It's a small little room, but we were able to fit everything we needed. The color of our walls do not really show in the pictures... its the restoration hardware baby blue. Subtle. Cute.

Even Dino the Door Stopper.

The Carseat is even ready to go... We just have to actually stick it in the car.

We are ready when you are Baby Reed!

As for Brian and I ... We are doing great... its crunch time for midterms in Brian's world, so a little stress always comes along side of that but he always seems to pull through and surprise even himself! I love you hunny... hang in there.. you can do it. I love you so much, Baby and I are rooting for ya! Xo
