Savoring every moment of our Second Trimester!

We woke up last Monday ... refreshed... Vacation Time! A long and anticipated one. Brian and I L.O.V.E vacation.. Who doesn't??! This year was nothing huge but it was exciting and we were ready to go now that the Baby's room is almost done and the office is not far behind we were going to relax. enjoy. and just be in love as always! We left on Monday morning, a bright and sunny one too... it was beautiful. We stopped in Banff first where we did some Christmas shopping.. i know i know... but you will be envious when I'm (hopefully) done all our Christmas shopping in October! Then it was off to Panorama. The Reeds have a family tradition where each year for one week in the summer they go as a family to Panorama in BC and just... well.. vacation! It was a blast. We all enjoyed swimming in the warm pools, hiking relaxing, eating, movie watching and shopping in little Invermere. It was just what we all needed after a crazy summer. I love this Reed Family so so much and I am so happy to be a Reed too!!

And before I go on... I must tell you what a sweet little spirit this little Nephew of ours has... This is Marsden.. he is awesome! If you even just look at him and smile, he will smile right back... he is adorable and made this Panorama trip so much fun!

Brian and I also did an exciting little spontanious trip on our own. It started by... purchasing a BC map. We had an idea of where we wanted to go... thanks to a great guy named Peter that Brian works with...but we forsure made the trip our own. It was Perfect. We left Panorama and headed around BC. We drove for about 5 or 6 hours on the first day and each little spot we wanted to stop for the night looked like a "dirty sheets Motel" place or else you would blink and the little town would be gone... we were tired and Starving.. and finally we stopped at a beautiful little town called Nelson BC. It was Beautiful!!!! And we even stayed at a Hotel with clean sheets and dinner! Honestly Nelson has the most beautiful beach I have ever been too...it was so relaxing and calm. The next day we went swimming, played Frisbee... and even took some Maternity photos. However one of my favorite parts was the BC Fruit!

One day I want to own a cabin in Nelson BC... it was truly a beautiful little paradise. The following day we decided to continue our little road trip adventure. We left Nelson and we were headed back finish off the week in Panorama with the Reeds. We took the roads that led us to a little Ferry Ride. It was just another highlight to our drive. And the best part about it was that the Ferry Ride is F.R.E.E.

We were surprised at how many times throughout the day the Ferry leaves but i guess when the highway suddenly comes to a complete stop and all you see is a lake they have to have someway of getting the cars over the lake.. and because there was no bridge... i guess a Ferry is the way to go.

We drove our car on along with probably 60 other cars. It was a fun experience... we got out and went up to the top of the Ferry and watched the little lake waves go under the Ferry, the wind in our face and nothing but the sun in the sky... it was wonderful.

One we got off the Boat we took a look at our map and saw a little side road off of the main highway that would cut our driving by probably an hour or so ..... so we thought.. what the heck lets do it.. we turned onto the completely gravel road.. and a-way-we-went! It was Incrediable... if you ever get the chance.. ask Brian about it... he will say "Oh man .. it was crazy"

We literally drove up one side of the mountain to the peak..... along the tops and back down another mountain.. it took us an hour and a half or so and it was absolutely amazing... no words can describe how beautiful the drive was and although it was completely "off-roading" in the end all we could say was....

Sometimes the most incredible trips are the ones you don't plan. We are huge fans of being spontaneous. I love you Brian.

Now for a Baby Update... we are coming to the end of our Second Trimester... Crazy! I still dont have any headaches or heartburn (knock on wood) but the nausea is sticking around a little. I must admit though that it is better than is used to be.... by far! I only have to take 2 (maybe 4) diclectin each day now and can pretty much keep everything down! It is wonderful!

We are now 26 weeks and only 99 days away of meeting our little Jelly Bean! Our Baby is now approximately 14 inches and weighs almost 2 pounds... and he can hear everything now.. not just my rumbling tummy lol.

As I mentioned earlier... here is the little second trimester maternity Photos that Bri and I took... we just did them ourselves while we were at the beach in Nelson BC..... good memories... it really is wonderful to savor every moment.

What we love the most right now is feeling you move all around....

Even Daddy can feel you move all the time too now.. that makes us smile...

We love hearing your little heart beat every 4 weeks when we go for a checkup...

Feeling you grown from head to toe is so comforting...

We are so excited to meet you.... from the day we were married we knew one day you would come along and make our hearts smile!

Each day we pray that you will be healthy and continue to grow....

We can't wait to meet you in only 99 days or so......

My belly Button seems to be becoming.. not so much of an "innie" anymore... and I have become addicted to baby oil... so far no stretch marks ... and Im trying my best to keep it that way!

I am excited to be a mom... My mom and Brian's mom are amazing and I look up to both of them so much.

Mom I finally know what you meant when you used to say... "one day you'll be a mom and you will know what I'm talking about". I can not even explain how much you fall in love with your child... even before he is born we love him so much and pray for him each day.
