The Finale.

Summer came and went and really felt like a 2 week spring break. It went so fast. Im so happy of all the adventures we did and the time spent together. Our summer Bucket list is all checked off and put away for a distant memory somewhere down the road when we reminisce about how amazing summer 2025 really was.

The last thing we checked off on our summer bucket list was to make both Grandmas a flower jar with your favourite flowers in it and go buy fresh fruit from the market.

I took the kids to the Saskatoon berry farm. This place really is so lovely. Unfortunately we waited too late in the season to really take advantage of the fresh fruit situation because berry season has past but we left with really yummy produce and only a little bit of fruit but it was so good.

They didn't even have any more fresh flowers to cut and make a bouquet (we really waited too late in the summer I guess lol) so we improvised and went to Costco instead. Each of them picked out their favourite flowers there and we went home to put together two flower jars for their Grandmas.

They really did turn out so beautiful and both grandma's appreciated them so much. It was such a lovely surprise and I am so grateful we did this for them.

To bookend the summer, the boy and Brian went golfing with my Dad and Penny and I made pickles with my angel Mom who helped motivate me to do it knowing that my future self would feel so happy we did and I know she is right. Im so grateful for her help. We even did them at her house, in her kitchen (with AC!!) and at the end of the morning we had 48 jars of pickles done.

They even kept all 5 of us for a steak dinner at the end of the evening. My heart was full, my stomach was even more full and I left feeling so much gratitude for my angel mother for helping me when I was truly too overwhelmed and tired to help myself. Thank you mom.

It's crazy to think that summer 2025 is in the books. We will cherish the memories made and already are looking forward to summer 2026.

Here's to counting down the days until summer 2026 and a new bucket list filled with adventures!
