On the Eve of Christmas

This eve of Christmas was quiet and chaotic. Relaxing and busy and every other opposite description pair you can think of.

It started out quiet. Baking, cooking, listening to Christmas music early in the morning and watching Christmas movies in the background. Kids in and out of the kitchen helping me with cooking and baking preparations for the next two days.

We met up with the Reed cousins for sledding before heading to Grandma and Grandpa Reed's house for the afternoon/evening. The hill was complete ice! I couldn't even stand part way down to snap cute pictures because it was just ice. They loved it and went farther than ever before.

We headed over to Grandma and Grandpa's house around 3:30 where is was non stop fun for everyone. Visiting, playing, gifts, dinner, sooo many treats, gingerbread men decorating.. it was literally non stop! There's 14 grandkids and my cheeks hurt from seeing them all having the time of their lives together.

We did the cousin gift exchange which was so cute and actually so special. It was really sweet to see.

Dinner was an awesome buffet of meats, salads, breads and spreads. Everything was so yummy it was hard to stop! I really appreciate Mom & Dad Reed and all the effort they put into everything for Christmas. They are constantly thinking of each person, individually, in our families. Mom Reed has a knack for gift giving. She thinks of each grandkid and their sweet little personalities. Each grandkid got the most thoughtful gift for each of them. We always leave filling filled with food and the most treasured memories and we will always cherish this sweet Christmas Eve tradition. Thank you Mom & Dad Reed for making Christmas so special. We love you!

We're finishing our Christmas Eve off with a new Christmas family movie (Red One) and heading to bed before Santa arrives. Can hardly believe Christmas is tomorrow!!
