All good things end too

Phew. Not sure I can write this without crying. This final week of Sr. Volleyball for Carter has been all kinds of wonderful! Carter has loved playing on the school volleyball team for all 3 of his junior high years. He has grown so much as a player and watching him play and smile on that court after an awesome dig or rally or play has been so fun.

This past week we had our playoff games and with the help of everyone on this team, we made it to the gold medal game. We were excited and we were nervous (or maybe that was just me....)

And! In Three competitive sets, THEY WON GOLD!!!

They are officially the 2024 League Champions and will hang that banner in our gym with all their names written on it with pride! I am so happy for these guys and for the awesome opportunity Carter had to be apart of it all!

I am so proud of this guy!!!! The cherry on top was that our Sr. Girls also won gold the game before in our home gym with us. Like, does it get any better than that!? Nope, it doesn't!

This weekend, was the final Volleyball games. Carter's team played in the Southern Central Alberta Volleyball zones in Strathmore. After a couple of tough games, some easier ones and some good rallies.. they placed 3rd overall and brought home a bronze medal.

Although it was an exciting finish and 3rd place is great. My heart cried a little knowing this might be the end of volleyball for Carter. Knowing this maybe was it. I can't believe we're in the final chapter of junior high with him. My mom heart is NOT handling this well at all lol. So so SOOOOOO incredibly proud of this guy and his little volleyball career. Not ready to let it go but happy we placed 3rd in south central Alberta.

What a fun journey it has been!!!

I love you Carter and I hope you know how proud I am to be your mom and sit on those sidelines cheering you on. Love you bud.
