September Summer

The weather this past week has been crazy! 32 degrees most days and super sunny! I usually like to wear pants and a cozy sweater come September but this has been feeling GREAT to be honest. I wasn't ready to let summer go and so Mother Nature nodded in true sisterhood and delivered! It has been so warm and we've made the most of it. Through the thick of basketball evaluations, school volleyball tryouts and every little thing in between, we found the time this weekend to hit up the Farmers Market for some much  needed baby cucumbers.

We have ran out of our homemade pickles and have been dying to make more (because there is no pickle out there that compares and having a piece of Great Grandma Reed in our home at all times brings me great comfort. Even if it's in the form of pickles! I will never take for granted the little things she taught me like pickling and making homemade chocolates.

Bentley, Penny and I headed out to the market to find the perfect cucs and while we were there.. we also found the perfect berries... and donuts...

So many fun things to eat and see at the Market. Except the wasps! Those things have been out of control this season!! Carter has been stung twice on the back. Bentley, once on the chest and Penny once on the back of her arm! It's been dumb. So the cooler weather coming I guess will be good to help get rid of those aggressive little beasts.

At the end of the day, we were able to pickle 25 jars of the best Grandma Reed pickles and I cannot wait to eat them all year long!

We also did our 3rd annual boat race at the lake this past weekend. It was so hot and fun! We did a potluck dinner and spent the day together. It doesn't get much better than that!

Onto the next adventures, starting tomorrow!
