I hope & I wish...

We have been working so hard on our home. Day in and Day out.. just constantly. All our free time has been put into our home. While the kids have been at school for 7 hours a day, I have been non stop on the house. I am so proud of what we have been able to accomplish. We are getting closer and closer every day!! My oce clean painting pants are now fully initiated into the painting hall of fame and will forever be worn as the "get this done" paint pants.

However, by far my favourite part of our home will forever be covered with a floor and only the presence of a memory will remind us of the work we've done and the hopes and wishes we've made in this house we've made into a home.

We each wrote things we hope will happen, little wishes hidden under the floor boards. We did them individually and each are so sweet in their own way! Carter's had us cracked up. Buddy, I hope you do become a billionair... I'll be over for a top shelf dinner often ;)

I love seeing their desire to continue to make memories, even into adulthood and preserve the love we have built with them. Man, I love these kids.

It was a small token of sentiment that I will cherish forever.

The new floor starting going in yesturday! We had the entire main level cleared and ready to go!

After just 2 hours, they already had so much floor down! It's exciting! I cannot wait to have this massive project behind us and not have to live in a construction zone anymore!

They're hoping to have it done today.. so now, I am also hoping they are done today so Brian and I can start working on baseboard and small finishings! Cherishing this trial, reno and making memories as we go. What a blessing this life really is. We are so lucky.
