Woah! Lets Party
Ok, fastest planned and executed party in the history of the Reed home. Usually I am so good at planning far in advance for birthday parties. Partially because being a photographer you really do have to block off days or nothing will ever happen. So, I blocked off a Saturday for Penny's party, which was great until I realized we now had three kids in basketball which means 3 different basketball games at different locations and different times every saturday. Oops! The only day I could do her birthday party was a Friday morning on a PD day.
We made and handed out invitations with less than a week until the day. Everything was rushed but in the end everything was perfect and Penny said it was the best party she ever had. Im so grateful we could do this for her.
We sent out invitations and got decorations and away we went!
Penny and I set up everything together, it was so fun.
We tried to book a mad scientist but they wrote down the wrong date and cancelled on us just a day and half before her party so we quickly booked a bounce castle and figureed out science experiments I could do with the kids instead. It really did work out perfectly.
Penny had 15 friends come. It was a LOT of kids but everyone loved making slime and doing the milk paint experiment. Penny was literally on Cloud 9 and so so excited, helpful and happy!
Penny chose angel food cake with whip cream and candy for her dessert. It was a huge hit! Also, her GIANT cute smile was because she was seeing howmany boyfriends she had when she blew out her candles... apparently the number surprised her. Hehe shes the best.
She opened up her gifts and was spoiled by all her friends. This girl is really so loved.
Her party was a total success. Brian was even able to come for his lunch hour (which really was for almost the whole party!). I am so thankful it worked out because our girl has been very excited her birthday and deserves the very best!
I cannot believe our girl is turning 9 this weekend! Like, where has the time gone. It has been the very best ride with her. We love you SOOOOOOOO much Penny girl!! Cannot wait to turn the clock to cloud 9 on sunday! You make us so happy, we love you so much!
