Spring into Sports
Spring Sports have arrived and as insane as its been, its been AWESOME! We have our feet under us, every evening written up in detail of where to be, in what order and at what time. I really feel like I would be good in a high pressure analytical department at this point.
This week alone, we have 16 sports commitments. Including, dance, baseball practices and games and basketball practices and games and even a long weekend tournament for Carter this coming weekend. Its crazy but there is nothing else Id rather do with my time.
Bentley is LOVING playing club basketball this year. Living his very best life!! #77 is all mine! Carter is also LOVING his FYB team this year. Theres lots of the same players from last year and a few new ones and he is so happy! He's going into a big tournament this weekend and I can't wait to see him play! Speaking of Carter... this kid just did the unheard of in his baseball game last week! We are so proud of him. 12 stike outs, 3 walk, complete game, no hitter! The other team did not his the ball once. Like, what?! After the game, his coach got the game ball from the Ump and gave it to Carter. Told him to keep it forever. What a cool experience! On that same night that Carter dominated his game, Bentley got MVP at his baseball game!! He had some amazing quick plays, made both hits nearly to the fence and was so quick defensively! So he got MVP and got to bring home the "MVP Belt" for the night. Super cool experience, way to go Bentley! As for Penny. She's simply the best. Cheering them on, playing with friends and of course, Momming from the sidelines everywhere we go with one of her babies attached to her hip. Cutie! This year, both our boys will be missing out on their Final Clud Basketball tournament, in Utah. They're both pretty bummed about it but we made a commitment as a family to support Penny in her final year end recital at the Jack Singer Concert Hall downtown. We made the commitment before the boys tried out with the understanding that it might land one the same weekend. Both Carter and Bentley have been so good about it but it still stinks that we can't do everything. Penny is so sweet and made them each a card of thanks and gratitude because she knows how much this Utah tournament means to them and understands why they're missing it. I honestly am so proud of these kids for supporting eachother and recognizing sacrifices made for eachother. We love them all so much.
