Girl Power!

Ok , yet again, she surprised us. In the fall we had no idea that Penny would be interested in basketball. We asked her if she wanted to try it but it was a quick "no" and we moved on into gymnastics. Just before Christmas, she told us that she was wanting to try basketball and so we decided to put her in it with her little friends from January-March. She is so happy and LOVES basketball! It might be because she has all her best friends on her team and it is coached by our great friend, Allison, so she naturally is so comfortable but I actually truly just think she loves it!

It has been so fun watching her grow into this little bball star. She is so good defensively and can totally make a basket. We are so proud of her!
I honestly love Allison so much. She truly has influenced our girl for the better and has been so loving and kind and patient while coaching these kids. We couldn't have asked for a better experience for Penny.

Penny and Ariana also were able to be on the same team again which has been so nice for all of us. These two girls are glued to eachother and it's fun to see their little friendship get stronger and stronger.
I have been taking Penny to basketball every Tuesday from 6-7pm and it has been a highlight of her week. She knew everyone on her team except one boy who she easily became friends with, she's always been good at doing that! Last night was her last basketball. She is sad its over but grateful for the experience and says she wants to do it again in the fall so we'll see!

Penny was especially happy that they all got medals. She was hoping so much for one. All her little dreams came true!
We had the best team filled with really fun kids who were inclusive and kind. It was the best season. We love you Penny Girl! Congrats on your first official basketball season! Love you girl!
