Am I ever lucky!

St. Patricks Day was on Sunday. We never REALLY used to celebrate St. Patricks day until one year, Carter's grade 1 class made a Leprechaun Trap for their classroom and ever since then, our kids have been HOOKED on yet another, fun, holiday! Bentley asked if we could make a Leprechaun trap again this year for our house to see if we could catch a Leprechaun... I said "yes" but really I was thinking "really.... I'm so busy... must we?" When they forgot about it and didn't mention it on Saturday, I didnt remind them. This was my mistake because at 8pm on Saturday night, sweet Bentley came out of his bedroom (supposed to be sleeping) worried that because we didnt make the trap, we never would catch a Leprechaun. He was so worried.. but in a sweet way, so I caved. I spent the next 45 minutes finding supplies and making a leprechaun trap for them.

They know the Leprechaun never leaves any goodies.. only Mom and Dad do that on St. Patricks day, but of course, he did pay us a visit.

They were so excited when they woke up, analyzing everything. I left honey in the trap to see if he would stick to it this year. It didn't work but Carter was impressed. In fact, he even put his own fingers in it to see how sticky it was an then immediately regretted his decision and washed his hands.. twice.

We all wore green, we had green snacks and rainbow treats and after dinner finished it off with green Jello.

We know we must have the luck of the Irish.. just looks at these three lucky charms!
