Valentines 2018
Its funny how Valentines Day when you're dating or newly married is such a romantic holiday. There is anticipation and excitement and butterflies... at least thats what it was for me because let's be honest.. I LOVEEEEEE love! I still do love Valentines Day... but its different now. Valentines day has kind of been taken over by kids valentines parties and 40 little valentines cards. Hearts everywhere imaginable for your kids and dance parties with long songs all around. This year was all about that. Brian even got home a little later so really it was ALL about the kids this year. Im happy to have the three little valentines babes that I do, they made our Valentines just right.

This year both the boys decided on Star Wars cards for their class.

And we surprised them in the morning with little valentines bags that had a small stuffed animal (why do kids LOOOVVEEE stuffies so much?! We 100% did not need anymore but they just love them so we caved!) some stickers and a little treat. They were elated.

I also heart-attacked their rooms in the middle of the night and they really felt so special and surprised in the morning. It was worth every mom-ninja move I pulled!

When the kids got home from school they literally exploded their Valentines Cards from their friends at school...actually just Carter exploded his lol Bentley was neat and tidy about it. Bentley said it was one of the best days of his life so I'm going to say Valentines at school was a complete success!

Dinner was nothing special. Spaghetti and meatballs with heart shaped cucumbers.

And dessert was kind of a flop too. They loved the Jello but didn't want the whip cream on it so although it looks cute... it was all scrapped off in hopes I didn't have to deal with tantrums about it alone on Valentines Day.

By the time Brian got home it was already bedtime for the kids. We put them to bed and tried to enjoy a nice evening together but really it was just a pretty regular evening. Luckily, Brian always makes me feel loved and adored so it was just fine not doing anything special but spending the evening together cuddled up both feeling exhausted. I know I am so lucky to share this special day with the kids. Im grateful that they could feel so loved by us and their friends, that really made the day for them!
Happy Valentines Day, I hope with whoever it was, you got to spend time with those you love!
