Thirty One!
This week has been fun, frustrating, exhausting and even disappointing with Carter's peanut allergy results but all in all it was a good week. The past couple months have been tough for us. It seems like everything is breaking.. and all at the same time. As of last week, we had a broken fridge (we've already had it fixed twice since December), a broken oven (completely non functioning oven), broken dishwasher (the smell that thing puts out when its on is enough to kill a cat not to mention it really doesn't wash great and we also fixed it a month ago.. it worked for 2 weeks and went right back to sucking). Also, randomly, the spring in our garage door broke ($270 later..) and our vacuum broke (my floor has never EVER looked so appalling!). Of course, its cheaper to buy all the large appliances in a bundle pack than it is buying them separately so we waited it out with broken appliances to do that! Well, FINALLY this weekend we bought all three new appliances and a new vacuum (HOORAY!!) and I am SO SOOOO excited about it! I cant wait to have fully functioning appliances AND a clean floor! Its the little daily things (that cost so much (URG!) ) that made this weekend WONDERFUL!
Rewind to the beginning of the week, the boys were on their mid winter break so they had the whole week off and I loved every minute of having them home with me! Bentley and Penny play really good together. We set up "shopping" and they played FOR HOURS together! Cutest thing to watch!

We have also played SO MUCH LEGO! I mean, hours and hours of Lego. This is Carter's organized disaster. He knew where each piece was, what each "pile" was for and honestly just looking at it was overwhelming to me but he was in heaven!

I also found this SUPER cute picture of Penny from two years ago and of course I had to remake it with her now. Her little dress now fits as a shirt and her smile melts my heart every time!

My sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Lena & Jarren, invited us to this AWESOME indoor bike park this past week too which was so much fun! Although, I did realize that all my kids need bigger bikes after they've been stored for the winter. Oops! I only have awful pictures BUT it was so much fun and the kids loved it! We had a few falls and a few crashes but all in all, it was fun.. thanks for inviting us!!

And of course, yesterday was my 31st birthday! I had a wonderful birthday! We woke up and headed out to little Ryder's 3rd birthday party at a fun indoor play place. This was the perfect start to my birthday because the kids were so happy and occupied which means I was able to sit down and chat with friends while they were so busy playing! After that, we headed over to the Car show that was in Calgary this weekend. Brian got free tickets from work and so it was fun to go.

It was cool to see all the fun cars but we only lasted about an hour. My parents offered to watch the kids overnight on Saturday and.. well.. we thought about it for 0.1 seconds and said YESSS!!!!!!!!! It was SOOOOO nice to have a night off. We really honestly just went for dinner and ran errands and finished the evening off with a comedy and treats on the couch BUT (heres the big part...) WE SLEPT ALL NIGHT LONG AND SLEPT IN UNTIL 9am!!! It was AMAZING! Truly, that was the best part! Thanks Mom and Dad for giving us an evening of freedom and relaxation! It does not go unappreciated!!!
Im excited to see what 31 will hold. My 30th year was filled with sorrows and loosing some VERY important men in my life. It had medical scares and confusion and it also had so much love and support involved. Im hoping that 31 will come with so much laugher and love, a super fun family trip and zero appliances to replace! Here's to 31!
