Christmas Prep!
Its first thing in the morning on Christmas Eve and Ive been procrastinating this post for too many days but it needs to be done so my Christmas day post doesn't have 500 pictures in it lol.
Carter is incredibly skeptable about the big Ol' Santa Clause and because he is, I think Bentley is a little too. Needless to say, when they are being bad and I try to say "Hey! Santa is watching you" or "You're going to be on Santa's naughty list" they honestly don't really care and Carter usually says .. "Mom.. no one is watching me" (insert eye roll here). So I wish I could say they've been little angels this week.. but no. They've been crazy and excited and fighting all week. So we dressed them up and made them take some cute photos so I could remember how cute they really are even in their moments of being super naughty.

I am super in love with Penny's little outfit. I found this sweet gem at a second hand store and it was a must buy!

Last week, we also went on our annual Christmas light run. We decided to just stay in our community and it did not disappoint! So many people put up Christmas lights and SO many good ones! We started off with hot chocolate, a treat bag and new pyjamas for the car ride. The kids loved it and we found a winner!

This house had lights on every single part of the house. In fact, we even rolled our windows down and the house was playing Christmas music outside. You can't beat that! Great job to whoever lives there!
Last weekend we were invited to my father-in-laws kids Christmas party at his work again this year and we had fun. Bentley and Evie were SOOOOO cute dancing together and totally on cloud 9 I could hardly stand it!

Santa was super exciting for the kids. Penny was a little shy. She was very excited to see him but didn't want him to pick her up which was totally fine. She's been asking for "a baby" from Santa so when he handed her the gift she opened it right away saying "My baby! My baby!!" but to her surprise it wasn't. After the initial sadness of "Santa buy my baby" she got over it and now loves her little safari set.

Bentley was very excited to see Santa too. He HAD to make sure he mentioned everything on his wish list this Christmas and says he hopes Santa will get him one of those things.

Carter was yet again sceptacle. He asked me (when he saw him) if this was a fake Santa. I let him know that it wasn't the "Real" Santa but one of Santa's very special helpers. He was satisfied with that and SUPER happy to sit with him and made sure he understood that he REALLY wants pokemon cards for Christmas.

Thank you so much to my amazing Father-in-law for the awesome Santa Clause Pictures!

Last Monday night we went with the McCollum family to the Nativity Play at heritage park. It was so nice. Its for sure one of my favourite Christmas Traditions to do with our family. It really does bring in the true meaning of Christmas and why we celebrate it.

Yesterday, the kids and I made cookies for Santa. It took me an hour to clean and vacuums up all the sprinkles BUT the three of them LOVED decorating his cookies and really had so much fun!

Notice how Penny is always in the middle of Bentley and Carter... its because the boys are usually fighting and are at the stage of "he touched me.. he's looking at me".. its a glorious stage. Thankfully we have a third to set in the middle of them though!
Last night. on "Christmas Eve" Eve. We went to Grandma and Grandpa Hawryluk's house. Mom Reed organized all the costumes and the kids surprised their GreatGrandparents by acting out the nativity for them.
Mom Reed asked if Bentley would be a wiseman, Carter would be Joseph and Penny be Mary. I asked Carter if he would be ok to do that and his response was priceless! He took a deep breath and thought about it for a minute and said "Ugh, Mom. When am I going to be old enough to just watch the kids do it?!" BAHAHAHAHAHA!! You have so many years left of that buddy, sorry!
Nevertheless, the kids did SOOOOO good! They were all sooo cute and they all participated and did just as they were supposed to. Im fairly certain my heart grew watching them with their little performance. And I think their GreatGrandparents loved it so much!

Then we played his super cute game. Mom Reed made a little saran wrap ball that had treats hidden in it. One kid would start to unroll the ball to try to roll out a treat. While one kid unrolled the ball, the cousin beside them be continually rolling the dice to try to get a one or a two. If they did, the ball would then be passed to them. It was loud and crazy and super fast paced for the kids but they honestly loved it and we're excited to do it again.

Penny's highlight was just seeing "Baby Ree" and "Holding him"...

And just as the night was about to finish, GreatGrandma handed out presents to the kids. They were so thoughtful picking them out. Every little one loved so much what they got and they all shared a sweet hug with their GreatGrandma and GreatGrandpa.

Grandma and Grandpa Hawryluk are so special to us. They have the sweetest love story. They built their house from the ground up with their own two hands and no debt and are still living in it today. It truly is a treasure and so are they. Merry Christmas Grandma and Grandpa Hawryluk, we love you!
