We love Summer!!

This past week has been so fun with the kids! We are back from vacation mode and back to reality.. but not really, because its summer! The weather has been SO HOT and humid lately here but typically ending in a thunderstorm every evening which has been kinda fun too. The kids and I have been using the weather to our advantage. This week while Brian was working, we went to Caraway Park. The kids and I met up with the McCollums for a bit at Calaway and it was so fun to watch Lincoln and Carter, Autumn and Bentley, and Penny & Ryder. This was the first time Penny went on rides and to be honest.. she really wasn't a fan.

She went on this little toddler boat ride first. She sat in it just fine. I did up her seat belt and walked away. She still was ok. Then the boat started moving.. as it came around to where I was standing, Carter pointed to me and looked at Penny and said "PEN!! THERE IS MOMMY!!" .. she took one look at me and started bawling! She was no longer happy that she was on a boat and I was on the side. That was it for rides for her lol Hopefully she grows to like them because her brothers are crazy about them!

Next was the airplane ride. Penny was too little for this one and she wouldn't have wanted to go on if she could so standing and watching was good enough for her!

We did a couple more rides before the McCollums had to leave and Andrew was so nice to take all the big kids on the little drop of fear. They are yelled and were overjoyed with their hands up in the air.. and then there was Bentley.. on the end... almost emotionless lol he was happy to be on it and said it was fun but he is such a "chill" kid that not much phases him.. he's cute!

Ad of course, I knew it was time to go once the tantrums started to happen. "Im starving" "my legs are hurting" "I cant walk EVEN ONE STEP MORE MOM!!" .. that was my cue! So we hoped in the car and called it a day!

Although the week of fun didn't end there. We also went to the corn maze this week. It was so much fun too! Almost more fun, but also more dirty. Man, the kids were a MESS!!! Dirt EVERYWHERE, but worth it!

Watching the three of them go crazy down every slide and explore all the fun things they had there was so fun. We went first thing in the morning and we were nearly the only ones there for the first hour.. it was AWESOME!

Carter excitedly admitted that the GIANT slide was his favourite! And I have to admit, it was mine too. That slide is FAST!

We finished off the corn maze with the park and the huge rolling barrels.. I got in one with the kids and all four of us were historically laughing while trying to walk in it without falling. I love having those moments and memories with my three little musketeers!

And last but not least, we've also had fun at home. Playing with cousins in the pool and water table, having friends over from Carter's school and Penny and I trying our best to master Grandma Reed's macaroons!
