Prehistoric Twenty Nine!
** Most of the pictures are from my iPhone.. which explains the awful colour and quality of them... its only bugging me a teeny bit :S
Well, there you have it. I am 29! My birthday was last week and Voila.. the last year in my Twenties.. so for this entire year, I will just say Im still in my twenties.. just to make myself feel better. Just kidding, the truth is I really think my 30s are going to be my best years yet so 29 doesn't freak me out! My birthday was just a regular day, laundry.. cleaning.. getting the kids ready for the day and Carter off to school. We were still doing our Whole30 challenge so I didn't even make myself a chocolate cake... (WHAT?!) When Brian got home from work, they gave me my gifts which was a beautiful new pair of black leather flats and running headphones! (I am so excited to start running again when it gets lighter out earlier in the morning .. I'm way too chicken to go in the dark) As for the kids.. they got me Lego! I know that sounds so weird.. but honestly, I love spending time with them making lego. Its one of my favourite things to do with them so for the afternoon, we all sat down as a family and built some lego together. It was perfect family time, a relaxing day and just the way to ring in my final year in my twenties.

Friday night, my mom babysat the kids and Brian and I were able to go on a date! Like, a true date! Dinner and a movie. It was SO nice to just relax and go out to dinner instead of making it. Thank you Mom for watching out littles so we could go and regroup after a crazy 40 days!
Saturday was a fun day too! We offered to watch my sister's boys, Taytum and Porter, so my sister and Borther-in-law could take a day road trip to Edmonton for the day. They said they had an awesome day and I am glad they did because we did too! The dropped off their boys just before 9am on Saturday and we got in the car right away and took all five of the kids (Ages, 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5) to Drumheller for the day!

The drive was good! Everyone fit in our space shuttle!

We first went out to lunch at Boston Pizza. Surprisingly, the kids were good! Way better than we were expecting!

Then we went to the Tyrell Museum. The boys were WAY to excited to all be looking at the camera at the same time, I was too overwhelmed with 5 kids five and under to really care so this picture will have to do!

As for Penny, I tried to get her to stand with the boys but she was not having it! She wanted her own picture petting the baby dino.. that is what made her happy! Silly girly.

The museum was awesome! It wasn't busy at all which made it super easy to keep an eye on all 5 little ones running all over the place. Poor Taytm and Porter were TERRIFIED to go into the museum to see the dinosaurs and I had to work REALLY HARD to convince them that the dinosaurs were not real but rather just "Giant toys" that we are not aloud to touch. haha! Even the men working there tried to convince them it was ok but eventually Brian had to carry Taytum and I carried Porter for the first 2 minutes and then they were ok and felt safe enough to walk. The rest of it they were all totally fine.

The boys all LOVED it and Penny.. she just mostly loved running free and wild, climbing on top and underneath anything possible...

We headed home in time for dinner and baths and then I took Amanda's boys home to their own beds for bedtime. On the way home, Taytum (4 yrs) said "Hey auntie.. when I get big can I borrow your Van?" I replied.. " Sure Buddy".. then Taytum looks at Porter and says "AH!!!! Porter!!! She said we can borrow her VAN!!!!!!!" hahahaha... I think he likes the Van.
It was such a great day and I love spending time with my nephews. I am so glad my sister let me have the opportunity to, Family means everything to me!
Overall, it was a perfect way to kick off the last year in my 20s. Here's to a better year and more awesome family adventures!
