And with this handsome stud by my side.. I knew right away the day was going to be fantastic!!
They looked so so cute! Meghan and Steven got married in the Calgary Temple and it was a beautiful ceremony! Their love is so cute and truly infectious.. my heart was about to burst! Meghan's Grandpa sealed the two of them and truly said some beautiful words during their ceremony.
Meghan looked absolutely radiant and I couldn't help but notice that every other minute Meghan would look over and Steven's face during the ceremony and just smile.. but not the "hello" kind of smile.. you know, the smile that would run through her whole body.. the "I am so madly in love with you" kind of smile and each time she did, I was smiling for them! Seriously!! They are cute and so in love and I am so happy for them! They were married at 11am and it was over in 30-40minutes. I wasn't the photographer for the day but we did have our phones and those would have to do until the evening.
Carter was SOOOO happy to have his picture taken with Auntie Meghan.. he is seriously IN LOVE with her!!
All of the kids looked adorable in their matching colour coordinating outfits and really, I just wanted to hug and kiss and squish them all!
And yes, we really tried to get them all to look.. but nope.. not a chance.
Meghan and Steven's reception was BEAUTIFUL! There theme was all lace and pearls, pale peach and light pink. Kind of like a garden theme and it was pulled off perfectly!
Even their cake was perfect for the theme! Its called a "Naked cake" and it was stunning!
Brian and I are seriously SO HAPPY for Meghan and Steven! Honestly, we feel so excited and lucky to have Meghan in our family and know that she really is the perfect match for Steven! And I have no idea why but Meghan and Steven have been together for almost a year and I really didn't know her well until pretty recently but have grown such a strong friendship with her and I am SO EXCITED and HAPPY that she is now my sister!! I love spending time with her and Steven too of course and am so glad Ill get to watch this exciting new chapter of their lives together begin!
Their photographer was done about an hour before the reception ended, so (naturally) I grabbed my camera to finish off the evening for them. I always hate when Im photographing a wedding and people are yelling over my shoulder to "look over here" at their camera or phone so out of respect for their photographer, I kept my camera away until she was done... although I did have that itch ALL DAY LONG to have it hanging over my shoulder trying to capture every little waking moment. (Minus my children being a complete handful for both Brian and I the entire day.. ok the entire week.. but I will save those details for the next post!)
The cake was cut and they kept it classy.
Their first dance was ... well.. jaw dropping. Again, my heart wanted to explode with love!!! They are adorable and so in love and you can just tell when you know it really was meant to be.
Next was the parents dance which was also so so lovely.
And the bouquet toss!
I am so happy for Steven. I honestly love Brian's brother so much. We have a fun relationship. We bug each other.. constantly... poke fun and are SUPER witty towards each other but all kidding aside Steven, you are amazing and I truly respect you. I love that we can joke with each other. I love that your lovely wife gets in on it too and I know we will always have a great relationship. (NOW.... this is the last time I'm obligated to write this sweet note to you .. so savour it because come tomorrow.. we are back to pranking each other... but please don't every tell me you're going to prank me.. because we both know I won't sleep all night lol)
