Choo Choo Carter's TWO!
Today, Carter turned TWO!
I can hardly believe it! Where has the time gone.. it feels like just yesterday I held him in my arms for the first time and heard his beautiful cry just seconds after he was born.. I can still hear it .. it was perfect. Two years has gone so fast and he is learning and growing everyday. I wish I could freeze time and keep him little for longer.
Carter has such a personality! A STRONG one I might add!
He always knows what he wants and he will always let you know! Over the past little while I have been writing down a few words of Carter's that are my favourite! Here they are...
1) Bess Chu Carter - Bless you Carter
2) Tant Chu Mommy - Thank you Mommy
3) Carter funny - Carter's funny
4) Peacy - Percy (the train)
5) Mok - Milk
6) Pweeze - Please

The list goes on but those are his usual words and I LOVE them! Carter is really polite and usually always says please and thank you and it melts my heart every time! I LOVE it!
He is COMPLETELY ADDICTED (which is a total understatement) to Thomas and Friends.. and mostly to Percy..
...although he has been broadening his horizons lately to other trains too!
So, Because Carter has a sever addiciton to trains.. we thought we would have a Thomas and Friends birthday Party for him! We had it last Saturday November 24th and it was really fun! I made the invitations myself .. but got the idea from Pintrest.
I tried to take some cute Two year old pictures of Carter with his Favorite shirt on .. and although I got this Gem...
...and this one...
.. but I totally had to bribe him with a fruit snack ... "Carter is you show mommy your chicklets.. you can have this fruit snack".. haha... it worked well I think!
Although bribing him didn't work every time... He also showed me that we are in for an interesting ride through those "Terrible Two's"...
But despite his not so friendly expressions .. I love them.. I love how they totally just describe Carter. I knew Carter was going to LOVE his trains party. I knew he would love it so much that I would have to decorate while he was napping and surprise him when he woke up... so when Carter was napping.. we decorated the house for his party!
And when Carter woke up... he was in HEAVEN to say the least!
He ran around saying "Mas" "Mas" "Peacy" (meaning... Thomas! Thomas! Percy!) Then Brian took him outside to take a look at the amazing poster he put on the Garage...
HE LOVED IT!!!
We didn't really have any activities or games planned for the kids.. I feel like 2 years old is still a little to young.. plus our house is a little small and we had a ton of people over to celebrate so it probably would have been to much... but it was fun to socialize and let the kids play with the toys. We did the Cake first this year..
But Carter didn't seem to sure about the candle..
But despite his apprehension he still blew out the candle.. this year... all by himself! Good Job Carter!
And just like last year... he LOVED the icing!
Next, we did the gifts.. this was HILARIOUS! He got almost everything Thomas the train.. and nothing was doubled... it was amazing. He was so excited! He was just vibrating as he anticipated what was going to come out of each gift bag... his jaw dropped almost every time he say a new thomas the train toy or tracks and he DID NOT want to let the previous gift go to open a new one.. like he was terrified someone would take it hahaha
He was SPOILED ROTTEN! Thanks to everyone!!
This year, Brian and I got Carter 150 balls... like the ones you would find in a ball pit .. and trains.. of course! He was so spoiled!
Saturday was such a success but the evening was a little horrifying! I Think Carter was WAY over stimulated.. and WAY over tired from such a busy day... needless to say... we were excited for bedtime!
We Celebrated Carter's real birthday today with him. Brian stayed at school extra late last night so that he could come home early today and spend the afternoon and evening with Carter.. it was such a treat! This morning, Carter and I made a Fort out of the couch cushions .. i remember doing this as a child and it was always so much fun! Carter had a blast too! We painted some pictures and when Daddy got home we played trains! I wasn't sure what to make Carter for dinner on this special day ... but I came up with this... Carter absolutely LOVES "nacks" (Snacks).. he is always asking me for snacks.. so I made a dinner of snacks for him...
He was SOO excited when he saw it!
...A little bit of everything! However he mostly just ate all the yogurt and cheese.. and a few peas and tomatoes.. he had a bit or two of a couple other things but really it was all about the cheese and yogurt tonight lol
And for his desert... I felt like we all had to much cake so I made Mud Pies .. well.. in a glass... with worms and "dirt"...
He once again was REALLY concerned about his candles..
.. but once again blew them out after we sang Happy Birthday to him!
and he had just a little bit of it but seemed satisfied!
Carter sweetie, I Love you so much! I Love your little (HUGE) personality... and even the days that you drive me crazy and bed time can't come fast enough.. I always miss you when you are in bed sleeping.. and I guarantee if you were a deep sleeper I would go in a cuddle you every night. Carter you have changed our lives.. for the better.. you make us so happy and so proud that you will forever be ours. Happy second birthday bud..LOVE YOU!
