Love Mom.

I cannot believe that its been almost 5 weeks since I last posted about our new little jelly bean! Crazy how fast time is flying this time around! This coming Sunday I will already be 30 weeks along and have been getting cute outfits and locations ready and in mind for some fun maternity photos for myself. But first, lets rewind! At 26 weeks... Photobucket ... baby was the size of a head of lettuce! Experts say that our baby immune system, including his lymph nodes, thymus and spleen are rapidly developing! Neat! Photobucket At 27 weeks... baby was the size of a Rutabaga! And although I totally remember Brian taking a picture for me this week... I cannot find it anywhere! Dang it! This week was my blood work screening test for gestational diabetes. I HATE this test. They first make you drink this awful drink they say is like "sugary orange juice" but its more like orange gasoline really... then you sit for an hour and they take your blood after the hour. The worst part of it all for me is trying to keep the drink down and not puke it up. This was an interesting appointment. I had Carter with me and trying to entertain a one and a half year old for an entire hour in a clinic is tricky! He had multiple "shrieking" episodes followed by time outs .... I don't know if they even helped but it was worth a try. Im so happy to say that I don't have gestational diabetes and that my blood work came out completely normal! At 28 weeks.. Baby is now the size of an eggplant! Some studies say that at 28 weeks our baby may now be able to distinguish my voice from Brian's voice and knows who is who! Cute!! Now this is where I go crazy talking to my baby belly when no one else is home! lol Photobucket We had our baby doctor appointment this week. A regular checkup. I had been feeling so much pain on my left side right near my rib cage and talked to my doctor about it. It was so painful that every time I sneezed, coughed, or even laughed really hard it would make me want to fall to the ground and cry. IT WAS SO PAINFUL! She felt around my belly and pointed out that baby's head is stuck in my rib cage and his little feet are stretched around my belly to the other ribs... great! So my job now is to try to get baby to move head down... the ways to do this are quick peculiar lol but I will do anything to get him to be head down. She said I have till 36 weeks to do this before he gets to big. We also got to hear his little heartbeat again! This time it was 125 bpm! Cute! Although he HATES the doppler.. every time she would find his heartbeat, as soon as he would hear it .. he would jump and move like crazy.. so it took her a few minutes. Silly little Boy! The sad news about 28 weeks was that I puked again... twice.. two mornings in a row. Its not near as bad as it was at first by any means but I can feel my nausea coming back here and there. Now we are 29 weeks and 5 days! Into our first couple of weeks of the third trimester and really just anticipating this little man! Photobucket This week, I have been sick a little bit too... although I have managed to keep everything down until last night.... at midnight.. I woke up.. chocking on puke!! EWWWW and To much information?? Try experiencing it.. not fun! I remember it happening too with Carter a few times but it was much closer to my delivery with carter... I still have a ways to go with this little one so I hope it doesn't continue. I have had so much more heartburn with this baby too then I did with Carter.. I wonder if the old wives tail of heartburn = lots of hair is true. I guess we will find out. I am so excited to hit 30 weeks. It feels like another big milestone for me and I cannot wait to take some maternity photos too! I hope Carter cooperates or it might take a couple of tries! I am grateful for the opportunity to be pregnant and have this second little miracle with us even though I totally do not enjoy being pregnant at all. I know the blessings that come from it. I love you little guy so so much and can't wait to meet you! Love Mom!
