A Logan & Carter Day
The last two days have been a lot of fun at our little Reed home... Carter's friend Logan came over two days in a row for the day! I was watching little Logan. Carter and him were in heaven! Since Carter still has a morning nap at 10am and an afternoon nap at 2pm and Logan naps from 12pm to 3:30pm their nap time didn't really coordinate, but it was fun because I was able to give each little boy some one on one time and they were able to still have fun together between naps and before Logan's Daddy came to get him.
While Carter had his morning nap, I tried to get some cute "1 year Old" photos of Logan for his Mommy Kyla since Logan turns one in a little over a week! (That seems CRAZY to me!) Here are just a few of my favourites..
Honestly I don't think this boy could get any cuter! His eyes are to die for and his hair... lets be real... its incredible!
And it was so easy to make him smile in a photo.. unlike another little boy that I know very well and love so much.... *Carter**
It was nice that we were able to get these pictures before it started pouring rain and this crazy blizzard .. what a weird weather day!
Carter was having a fantastic nap so Logan and I decided to make some cookie dough! I mixed the wet ingredients and I had logan try to mix the dry ingredients. It started off nice.. like this..
and within half a second.. he looked like this..
Of course that was bound to happen... and I knew it would.. but he was having so much fun! I love letting kids be hands on.. even if that means getting a little dirty!
And don't worry, I made sure that Logan was all cleaned off before I sent him home. After Carter got up from his nap it was just about lunch time.. and on the menu today for lunch.... Dinosaur Grilled Cheese Sandwiches and steamed Carrots!
I wish I could say that everyday Carter and I have fun lunches like this.. but not everyday... just somedays.. and today was some kinda day! The boys loved it and ate it all up! They were so cute to watch and sometimes they would even trade sandwich pieces lol
That last picture of the two boys.. really caught my eye! Until this moment, I thought Carter was such a chubby little boy... and now I see that Logan takes that award! Look at his Cheeks!!! HOLY SMOKES! My Boy looks so grown up... bitter sweet.
Before it was Logan's turn to take a nap, I had them help me "pick out" the cookie cutters for the cookie dough....
...they didn't really pick any one particular but had a total BLAST running through them, throwing them across the living room.. laughing and babbling to each other.
Look at how BIG Carter is!!!... ohhh nooo.. stop growing up!!
Crazy how fast times flies... especially with a toddler keeping me so busy! Once Logan went down for his nap, I had Carter help me to push the cookie cutters into the cookie dough.. he was actually pretty good at it until he sneaked his first taste of the cookie dough.. then he didn't really care about anything else but that cookie dough and finding a way to get more in his mouth!
We had a wonderful day, the boys sure enjoyed each others company for the past two days. Logan is such a good boy and a joy to watch. Carter is always so much fun and I love him to pieces!
So, heres a toast to yet another successful day filled with delicious treats!
